What kind of quality of life you are looking at? Some are surviving with barely 1.5k per month.

Different salary range will require different ways to adapt your lifestyle to.

then you will magically find that why when $3k pm more than enough but $7k pm not enough to use

1)House monthly expenses:$500
2)Utilities bill:$300
3)Monthly transport:$400
4)Lottery:$600
5)Food:$600
6)Give parent allowance:$700

Total:$5,600-$3,100=$2,500

You can save 1 year :
$2,500X12 month=$30,000

Car (mercs), including installment, petrol, parking, maintanence, road tax, insurance, around 3k

Childcare 2k x 2 = 4k

Food for family around 2k very conservatively (4 adults 2 kids)

Bills around 1k

Shopee around 800 per month

Insurance for family around 1200

Edit: forgot to add 2 helpers.
Each about 1k

Plus some misc: repair house leaking, air con ( i have 10 air con) maintanence, condo maintenance, i would say about 1k per month.

Total already 15k per month.

That is excluding hobbies, eating restaurants, holidays.

earning close to 10k every month, not enough with a car & BTO coming, lucky planning to be DINKS so after BTO settle already the financials will loosen then can go look for next car to upgrade
