Still happily using windows 10 build 1511. Been blocking windows update ever since. No point upgrading and screwing up my system. No thanks Microsoft.

I was quite happy with 1709. In fact, I might be going back to it. Installed 1809 on 3 Oct via direct download. Noticed a bit of lag but no weird stuff like disappearing files.

Went back to 1709, no more lag. :)

This occurs when there isn't enough space in C: drive.
No issue if your data/file is stored on another drive.

Wow champion, delete your document folder when there isnt enough space...... without even telling you...... which idiot
Decide on this??

Yeah sure, stay on Linux where drivers are ******* glued to the damn kernel.

Want a new WiFi driver? Please recompile a new kernel

Want to add firmware to /lib/firmware? Please generate a new initrd or initramfs

Want to update the ucode to Intel's processor? Please generate a new initrd or new initramfs

Want to get a new GPU driver? please recompile a new kernel. And please recompile Mesa with its shitton of dependencies. Oh, your version of Xserver or Wayland is too old? SUCKS TO BE YOU, YOU CAN'T BUILD THE LATEST VERSION OF THE MESA DRIVERS.

Doesn't help that the bulk of desktop Linux users are noobs on Ubuntu who don't even know the first thing about the basic complexities of how a desktop Linux distribution works.

Yes. Resident hater.

Used it for 10 years and still using it as a desktop OS.

hate it so much.

And I damn well know what I'm talking about, because i am on a Linux From Scratch system.

Wait till karching rot still haven't become anywhere close to mainstream.

Sorry, as much as i hate win10, but windows is still the way to go for gamers

It is slowly getting wider acceptance.

And the fact of the matter is that it does run very well when it works.

Real world example:I had an 11 year old laptop that runs very badly on Windows 8.1 even though there are up-to-date drivers for most of the important hardware like the WiFi card, NIC and dGPU. But the same machine runs very well on Fedora 23. Though I eventually had to junk the machine; having the laptop suddenly shutdown for no reason, be it on Windows or Linux, isn't exactly my definition of portable computing.

well, that's why i said if linux can get gaming to work better, then microsoft will feel the heat.

Since hlots sifu no issues moi no issues too :s34: The start menu search seem to be noticeably faster on a puny sata ssd than 1803.

Wonder if the new mobile broadband default driver works well on defunct cards (Windows 7/8 cards) on windows 10 without manufacturer drivers..
