Win 10 random restart

I have a situation. My Friend has this pc:
Ryzen 3 2200g with Asus X470-I
Corsair ddr4 2666 MHz 2x8gb. Ryzen certified ram.
Seasonic 600w psu.
Plextor nvme ssd.

He has brought the pc to me few times. Asking me to help to troubleshoot citing random blue screen especially on start up.

on my end, has updated his bios to the latest, ran memtest, some other stress test software which I myself now forgot, keep on restarting the pc even from cold boot.

Last night open like more than 60 tabs running YouTube video, pcmark, office, virus scan for more than 30mins all at the same time. All the time I cannot even see the error one time. Now I am running linx.

But he has shown me photo he took, memory management error, and some dxdiag etc error.

Anyone has any idea what could be wrong? I hardly think it is due to keyboard or mouse or monitor issue. But I am totally clueless now.

Is your fren using extension cord and plug in too many things, try just plug in to the wall power sockert just the pc and monitor.

With the random BSOD definitely got hardware failure, highly unlikely to be power source issue.

can be ram, psu or motherboard. replace them until issue resolves

Ram , MB are more likely based on my experience

Kind of hard to resolve because no matter what I do, I cannot see any error but somehow every time after he bring back, error starts to come and, as he said, error become more and more frequent.

So even if I replace everything, I also cannot tell of the problem solved or not.

Troubleshooting for any faults required to run the computer for several hours and including some process running in actively.

Also restart while the system is hot to ensure temp & reliability of the components are stretch to the limit.

If the system is new then there would be possibility of some components incompatible or failure; such as RAM.

The testing should include the original monitor.

This board probably not good, too many bios versions within 1 year, mostly update for system stability.

Since you are using on-board video, ask your friend to try only 1 stick of ram, at slot 2. make sure ram frequency is set to auto or ddr4-2666.

Also, the nvme ssd is at the audio combo card. maybe can try remove it and install win10 on sata ssd at sata slot.

Sometimes latest bios may not be good. You might want to downgrade the bios to an older version and monitor.

You are right. I think the board was kind of rush out as they roll out so many bios in a short time. Nonetheless, I had tried both auto and set to ddr4 2666. It run fine at my place on both. But at his home it will slowly deteriorate.

I have yet to try putting window on data drive yet though.

Nonetheless, I had reformat the pc, reinstall window and set the ram timing manually according to ram specs. He just brought the pc home and we are keeping finger cross. The most problematic is I cannot see the error happen at my place no matter what I do

an update for those interested. Tigerwoods solution works, skip the extension cord although his extension only has his monitor, speaker and cpu.

after that, i up the ram voltage by 0.02V, to 1.22V and the Soc voltage to 1.1V (was 1.08xV on default). i understand it may be not so correct to do so, but after that, it can run with the extension with no issue and now been running for a week with no restart or bsod.
