Ok so now i had got my rigs part ready but i realise i never choose a dvdrom. Realise now pc case dont have 5.25 cage. So i am planning to go sim lim to install my rig. If i purchase a win 11 from the shop. How would they install win 11 into new rig and also i would get back win 11 disc? or now it come with usb or iso?

Or to buy usb flashstick and download from win 11 website to make it as usb boot drive but use back the old win 10 disc product key from many years ago? Note: i do not receive any upgrade to win 11 email eligibility.

Or if i buy win 11 from shop i still need to get external dvdrom that connect via usb? i cannot find one that support usb 3.0.

usb thumbdrive.

my cpu not in win 11 supported list i54690k

For such old CPU best use Win 10, Win 11 may have performance penalty as well as
lack TPM requirement.
I don't see any benefits to install Win 11 on Intel 11 gen.

Even my Intel 9th PC I am still using Win 10 not Win 11 despite I was prompt to upgrade.

Yes but you have to deactivate or sign out from the other PC.
You can't use both PC at once with the same CD key.

Windows 10 pls.. 11 is a real joke.. I forsee it to be a joke all the way just like vista.. wait for W12..

Also, "pro" is better..

more features that u may need, also allows you to defer updates

just found out my win 10 is retail license but not link to microsoft account. But i had make a win 11 usb bootdisk. so can i install win 11 with usb bootdisk then use win 10 retail license to activate on a new computer?
If it is a retail license, then yes, you can reuse the Win 10 key on the Win 11 activation. I’ve done that recently.

After using Win 11 for a few months, I think if given a choice, I will still go back to Win 10. To me, the UI is too “clean”. Clean because they’ve hidden a lot of things from sight. So to get to display settings, I end up having to do extra step to get there for example. Even when it comes to resizing windows, I noticed in some cases, I can resize it by pulling the corner diagonally, while in some cases, I can’t So for me to resize the height and width of the window, I need to either extend the height then the width, or other way round. Performance wise, I don’t think I am seeing any tangible improvements. The only reason for me to use Windows 11 is for the “Thread Director” which is required for the OS to pick the correct core to use, i.e. performance vs efficient cores.

Is not say better, you have to check what hardware you are using.
Intel 4th generation are very old hardware so for better performance install Win 10
will be better.

Win 11 is recommended for Intel 12 generation as it have P and E core, any other
processor Win 10 is still preferred.
Not to mention performance penalty on WIn 11 due to the VBS security feature.

I do have a Intel 4th in the past but was sold off after I change to Intel 9th gen.
I also have a Intel 2nd running Win 7 but that PC is dying off soon.

I already logout of my ms account on this win 10 rig and setup local accounT. On my ms account website I could still see this device. So on new win 11 I just sign in will do?
