WIndoes doesn't detect new gfx card

My old card (GTX 760) died and I bought a Zotac GTX 1050 Ti at the IT show.
I've swapped out the cards but when I booted up the PC after installing the new card it's not detected, even when I "scan for hardware changes" in device manager.
I noticed that the old card had 2 power sockets on the circuit board while I couldn't see any on the new card, so I have nothing to place the 2 plugs from the PSU that I removed from the old card.
What am I missing here?

it will be using the power directly from your mb pcie port.
Maybe you can uninstall the old gpu driver and install the latest driver for gtx 1050ti from nvidia website.
Also update your bios to the latest
also advise us on your spec, mainly the mb model and psu

Does your motherboard have an extra power socket near the PCI-E slot

Few questions which can affect

What is the monitor is connected to now ? Graphics card ports or motherboard ports.
Did you install fresh drivers for 1050.
What operating system are you using.
1050 is 75watt card so it doesn't need extra PCIex power as it can take the power from the motherboard.
What motherboard are you using is it PCIex gen 3.0

Problem solved, thanks.

I removed the old drivers using DDU and installed the new ones which I had to download from Nvidia (box didn't have a CD, just a slip of paper pointing to geforce.com for the drivers).
After that a reboot of my PC all is well.
