Anyone has issues with activating Windows 10? I have been trying for the past 3 days after upgrading from Windows 8.1 but I keep getting "Windows can't activate. Try again later"

mine upgraded from windows 8.1 pro and activation was instant... perhaps u might wanna keep clicking on "try again" until it works?

i read about people succeeding it only after 40x tries..

i clean install from windows 7 to windows 10 but it keep saying my windows 7 cd key does not work.

Don't clean install from Win 7/8.1.
If you do that, you will need to input CD key, which you will encounter error.

What you should have done is to UPGRADE to Win 10 from Win7/8.1.
Doing that will activate Win 10 automatically.
You can then "Reset My PC" to reset Win 10 to default settings, aka "clean install"

Can we download and copy the file to a USB 3 thumb drive to clean install, nowadays DVD is rare and slow.
How do we make it bootable from thumb drive.

Download the ISO for the bootable version. Just use any ISO software to write to flash drive. If you are upgrading, do not need to be bootable. Just run the setup.

Follow the proper procedure to activate your win 10, that is upgrade your win 7 or 8.1 to win 10 first. Your win 10 key will only generate after the upgrade. Also remember to login to your Microsoft account to register your win 10 key. After the above procedure, then you can clean install using the ISO created. No key required during the installation procedure. Login to your Microsoft account to have your windows 10 activated. Any issue your can call Microsoft.

Do not clean install without performing the upgrade first.

i can't get my windows 10 to be activated. I get an error message that implies my windows is pirated. I bought my laptop with 7 Home installed from Acer. Why doesn't it work?
