Windows 10 ESU finally available

I installed it on Gen 3 i3 3220 with 8G ram and it ran smoothly without any issue...

Can is 1 thing, but rule of thumb is, don’t bother for anything below 8th Gen.

I think the worrying issue is will they stop the free upgrade to win 11? Like win7 and 8.1 stopped the free upgrade to win 10?

Had to click on Start button. Then type s e t t i n g s . Then click Updates and Security which is the last button on the page. Finally on the right side, Extended Security Updates is finally there. Just click that and I got free extension for one year.

Was going to update to Windows 11 next few days, but apparently it needs at least 64GB space and I only have 36.1GB free after deleting everything I could think of.

Thanks, I also got it free by enrol the free extension.

I’m still on Windows 10 20H2. There is no need to update.

i also on win 10, go to window updates screen they will ask you want to enlist into extended support till next year oct 2026 or not..

I dont mind moving to linux and learn how to use it, but it doesnt support most if not all of my games/softwares :S

But then also like CCCustom said, whether its really worth the trouble :S

Why people behaving like will tio virus the next day once Windows 10 is end of service?
Unless microsoft release virus themselves, you will still be fine if you don't anyhow install software or click wrong link

Exactly, sometimes no more updates provided by MS is good news. How many times I have seen and have to solve my customers windows issues cause by the updates.

Not likely cuz technically Win 10 and Win 11 are the same.
Upgrade will stop maybe 2 years later so not so fast.
I still have Win 7 PC running here.

i didnt follow (didnt do anything at all), just open pc do some monthly tasks on it then go windows update page to update patches then saw that they say i am eligible to sign up for the Extended thing..
