Hey guys, any of your guys kena this anot? I was mucking around with my monitor when I noticed I couldn't change the background. I was struck dumb when I saw that my copy of Windows 10 was not activated. MS virtual assistant was of no help. It seems that MS servers are having an issue and deactivating Windows. So, any one else kena?

You can try doing this to ensure it is activated.

To make sure it works, use cmd in privilege mode.
slmgr.vbs -ipk xxxxx-xxxxx-xxxxx-xxxxx-xxxxx

This will help you to register your set of codes properly.

I just bumped into an issue where my codes were not changing from an unknown set of product code that wasn't even mine after I did a reinstall of Windows 10.

Trying to change the product code via the normal way will not change the product code currently in their system. I did the cmd prompt method and replaced the xxxxx with my product code and it finally registered my Windows 10 product key properly.

Great! Glad to know I'm not the only one with this issue.....the standard activation help service linked by the virtual assistant was really CMI one!

Windows users are like my mom. Love to complain nobody helps with the chores but when someone comes to assist she immediately reject the help.

The same thing apply to people obviously suffering from Windows but refuse to switch to Linux or (touch wood) Mac OS.

your windows activation should restore within a few days.

So far this bug has only hit Windows 10 1809 users.

If you are using an older computer, you should keep it on the Current Branch for Business/Semi-Annual Channel (Delayed).

Still running on Windows 10 1803 without issues :s8:

No leh. I'm on 1803 and also encountered this issue. Solve it by clicking troubleshoot under windows activation

As long as your hands not itchy to click on the "Check for Updates" button, you are safe.:s13::s13::s13:
