Hi guys, was trying to do an upgrade from Windows 7 to Windows 10.
However disaster has befallen my poor PC!
Setup:
Intel® Core™ i7-2700K Processor (8M Cache, 3.5 GHz Sandy Bridge)
Asus P8Z68-V PRO/GEN3
MSI R6870-2PM2D1GD5/OC
Corsair 4 x 4Gig Corsair Vengeance 1600MHz CL9 8GB DDR3 Kit
1TB WD Blk, 60G OCZ VERTEX 3 SSD (SRT) several other HDD for storage
Windows 7 Ultimate N (64bit)
Heres what happened:
1. File downloaded for Windows 10 proceeded to do the update in place
2. Let the update run when i came back it said there were some problems and required a reboot
3. upon reboot it said that it would reinstall back my windows 7
4. after reinstalling windows 7 when it rebooted, it says it cant detect my boot disc
5. I plugged out all my HDD for storage and only left the SSD+HDD combo which was running on SRT.
6. When i rebooted it showed the win7 boot logos and then it just looped back to bios and said could not detect the boot drive again.
What i think it is?
Could be related to the SRT? as when it reinstalled the Win 10 didnt have the drivers to understand that the boot drive was running over SRT?
When it reinstall back to Win7 it cant detect the original SRT combo again?
Anyway what ever it is anyone have solutions?
I really don't want to do a clean install unless i really have to
Thanks in advance...
