Hi guys, I am currently facing a problem and was hoping some pro could help me in this T.T. I resetted my bios just yesterday and I think my window was deleted as well, so I went to make a bootable usb that contained the windows 7 installation and everything went well up till the part where they asked me where do I want to install windows. There was an error stating that the setup was unable to create a new system partition or locate an existing partition. But I have already created a partition through cmd. I have tried several hours trying to fix it but to no avail. Can anyone help me on this? Thank you

IIRC you can delete the existing partitions and create a new partition using the Win 7 installation CD. I haven't tried the USB method but I presume it should be the same.

Yes I can but the error is still the same even without cmd

Are you able to detect any HDD? Sometimes (depending on your hardware), you may need additional drivers to be installed.

Ok, change AHCI to IDE, then see if Win7 can detect the HDD. If can, you need to download drivers onto the USB to install during installation (I think need to press F7 or something, can't remember).

Used to face it when using RAID controllers, need 3rd party drivers.

But there isnt an option for IDE. Only got option for AHCI and RAID :(
