windows 7 stuck at "starting windows"

anyone has any idea why my com will be stuck at " starting windows" screen for about 3 mins before starting windows? after that no problem using the com playing games etc

i recently changed changed casing and GPU

im on windows 7 64bit , i5 -4570 , 12g ram , gtx 1070 , 630w PSU

whats the storage drive u using? SSD or HDD?

even though suspect might be ur hdd is failing at some point...

Download and scan hdd/ssd with HDTune, suspect bad sectors. Do not check Quick scan.

unplug all non-essential storage drive and use only boot drive then try...having similar issue before due to 1 of the storage drive intermittent failure (the infamous Seagate 3TB DM01)...

If all seen heavy usage e.g. Climbing Hills, then no surprise all slowly dying

If not, sata controller might be faulty,
I remember plugging new Toshiba and Samsung drive and the drive would not be responsive after 5 mins of usage,

Had to unplug one drive, couldn't use all the sata ports on mobo, had to buy a sata card to add new drives

brand and model of ur ssd? and next is your ssd using port 1 of your mobo? maybe try port 2 and see?

well haswell still have some mobo having SATA 2 and 3 port. not all full SATA 3 port so im suspecting might be possible his port have issues.

if not maybe he can run some test to see if there is any error in his SSD or not.

remove all HDD and reinstall OS on your SSD to test if problem persist.

ran HDtune ...SSD no errors

If you are using only the SSD to boot up and having this problem, perhaps you should do a chkdsk on the SSD.

It seems that some of the boot up files are corrupted or damaged.
