Windows 7 Updates

Hi guys, just one quick question. Windows 7 updates will cause blue screen of death?

Recently, after I enable back the update and updated my windows 7, I realized that I have been receiving a lot of BSOD. Upon heeding advice to off the update and restore back to previous time code where update was not applied, everything works fine.

Do let me know of your inputs on this please.
How can a update be harmful, then whats the point of updating?

Don't think so. I've been updating and using Windows 7 for years and haven't had any BSODs because of it. I did have a couple due to outdated drivers though but once I updated them everything's fine.

Perhaps, the issue is one of your other device drivers? Is everything updated before you tried to update Windows? Did you try to install a new piece of hardware after you installed the Windows update?

Also, if a BSOD happens, try to remember the error code. That makes it easier to tell what could be causing the issue.
