Nvidia Blog:

“We built Surface Laptop Ultra around NVIDIA RTX Spark. With up to 128 gigs of unified memory and up to a petaflop of AI compute, you can run models on this laptop that simply don’t fit on a traditional machine,” Davuluri said.

Systems are coming from Acer, ASUS, Dell, HP, Lenovo, Microsoft, MSI and Gigabyte with designs ranging from slim laptops to compact desktops built for always-on agents.

RTX Spark combines an NVIDIA Blackwell RTX GPU with up to 6,144 cores, and an up to 20-core NVIDIA Grace CPU connected at 600 GB/s.

One petaflop of FP4 AI performance and up to 128GB unified memory makes RTX Spark effective for local AI. It can run models such as Qwen 3.8 Flash Next, a 125B model with 51B n-gram that matches the intelligence of many cloud models, unmetered and without sending data to the cloud.

RTX Spark runs the full NVIDIA CUDA platform — the same software stack that runs across NVIDIA hardware — and is built for every way people use a PC:

Developers can move models, tools and workflows without rewriting, running the same NVIDIA AI stack from RTX Spark to DGX Station.

HWZ News:
RTX Spark gives Microsoft a more convincing vision for the Windows AI PC

https://www.hardwarezone.com.sg/pc/laptops/nvidia-rtx-spark-microsoft-windows-ai-pc-vision

...
Prices start at US$2,599, putting it up against the MacBook Pro. I don’t think that comparison is accidental either, but it’s really not about Windows versus macOS here. RTX Spark brings NVIDIA’s CUDA ecosystem into a familiar Windows environment, which could make local AI development and coding more accessible to a much wider audience, especially those who do not want to rely entirely on the cloud or set up a separate Linux machine just to experiment with AI models.

Surface Laptop Ultra is also only one part of the story. ASUS, Dell, HP, Lenovo and MSI all announced RTX Spark laptops of their own, with Gigabyte among the brands joining in the second wave. This is significant because NVIDIA’s traditional role in the Windows PC ecosystem has been that of a discrete GPU provider – Intel, AMD and more recently Qualcomm provide the CPUs. RTX Spark changes that dynamic by bringing NVIDIA’s Arm-based Grace CPU and Blackwell GPU together into a single platform, with unified memory shared across both.

Will be interesting to see what these manufacturers likes of Dell, HP, Lenovo, are selling these hardware to their enterprise businesses since that's where their on-going businesses in the enterprise end-users hardwares are. Doubt we will see such hardware useful to gamers.

One more unexpected player: AMD

https://wccftech.com/amd-arm-action-microsoft-surface-laptops-soundwave-apus/

AMD To Bring “Arm” Action To Microsoft’s Surface Laptops With Soundwave APUs In A Bid To Tackle MacBook Neo at Competitive Price Points

...
Soundwave SoCs are said to be based around the BGA 1074 "FF5" socket in a 32x27mm package, as revealed in shipping manifests. It is said to feature a version of Arm cores with at least 6 cores in a 2+4 configuration (Performance + Efficiency), an RDNA 3.5 GPU with at least four cores, and 16 MB of cache. The chip will be designed around a low TDP ranging between 5-10W.
...
Qualcomm's Snapdragon X2 and NVIDIA's RTX Spark SoCs are going all-in on the Arm space in a bid to rival Apple's M-series chips. Microsoft has been trying to stir up some response to the Neo from Apple, and it looks like the deal is set between AMD and Microsoft to release an aggressively positioned Arm-based SoC in the form of Soundwave, which could enter the same ~$599 segment as the MacBook Neo.
