lenovo really so jialat?
am considering the x260
Back then when Lenovo still had service contracts with IBM, Thinkpads were handled by IBM Changi biz park which was very decent. Now it is handled by Lenovo's consumer support contracter OPUS IT. In my past experience with OPUS IT, they are the kind of company that pinch replacement parts much to the extent that you can potentially get either denied service requests or you really have to really question the CSO troubleshooting for you on some illogical PC tech related claims they can come up with. There is a lot of backlog according to some onsite tech i spoke with.
Unless you can upgrade to the onsite NBD service instead of depot (carry in), in my experience the NBD technicians won't bother going into a tussle with the customer. They'll do what they're supposed to do properly.
Not sure if new service centre at macpherson is handled by opus.
