Hey guys,

why is there a Windows.old inside my C drive ?

And is taking up a lot of my Hard disk space (estimate - 63GB)

Is it possible to delete away ?

The Windows.old folder is a backup of an older version of Windows you were running before your upgrade.

By removing the Windows.old folder, it will not affect the current version of Windows you're using, and will free up disk space used for these backup files. However, you will remove the option to downgrade back to the older version of Windows you were running.

In most cases, no one would downgrade their newer Windows for an older version anyway, unless they have a serious problem. I personally would just delete it using the Disk Cleanup tool.
