Took me a few days. Hahaha!

Most of the time I'm into white wine or Champagne/sparkling wines e.g. Veuve Clicquot Demi Sec(got a sweet tooth or should I say tongue)

Still trying to expand my palate and learn more about wines, e.g. identifying what you could actually taste from the wine.

Haven't been drinking much due to the fact I'm still in NS. 4 months more and I'll be out.

Most recent bottle was Misha Vineyard's "Limelight" Riesling 2010. Very young wine but it was great. Medium-dry, vibrant citrus flavour, had it with some fresh green salad. Shiok!

that's great. i started my wine journey just after I ORDed as well. i love white wine and sparkling wine. you should look into other regions of sparkling wine outside of champagne.

and even within champagne, look beyond the usual big producers you see.

there are many resources online for lots of info on wine:

tv.winelibrary.com
Winedoctor: independent wine opinion
Dr Vino's wine blog
www.thedrinksbusiness.com

these are just a few out there and these have helped me get a foundation to start exploring loads of wines. it would be great to have you along during the next outing.

Thanks for the links Ikileo.

Would love to join for the next outing if time permits.

Actually started drinking wine a few years ago due to my job/passion but as time pass, started to drink less due to the lack of drinking buddies.

Now trying to brush up on my knowledge of wine and my palate.

What was your job last time? F&B industry?

Yup. Started right after my O levels, continued part time in different restaurants while studying for my tourism dip.

Over the years, slowly been pushed to try wines and learn as it is a important aspect of dining until I got hooked on it. :s13:

After ORD, going to pursue a culinary degree as well.

That's great. That's where food and wine pairings really come into play.

Guys let me know your thoughts on the next outing?

U have link to the list and also your budget? I assume you are eating steak?

As a general tip, know why your budget is and know what u intend to eat. This will help cut down an shortlist your wine options

Hi ikileo, here are the link to the list.

www.mortons.com/menu/wines/

Yup, I'm eating sirloin steak. I think I'm order glass wine, sorry I'm not familiar with the pricing. Thanks for advice.

They provide only the USA list but not the local one. But u can ask if they have a malbec by the glass.

Malbec is a good grape to pair with a steak but doesn't cost a lot in comparison to other reds.

Ask them when the bottle was opened. It should be only today. If not request for them to
Open a new bottle and pour out the glass serving.
