Eh... why all Frenchies? Gotta admit, I don't quite understand French wines. Too complicated. Italian, Spanish and Portuguese wines are easier to understand.

Hmmm... I'm still not that familiar with the Italians.. Normally only pairing Chianti when I dine out..

Theses are still one of my top favorites..

Sorry, but can't help you on that.. I'm quite lazy, so I normally buy Ready To Drink or Approachable (and cellar the wine with my wine merchant in the meantime)..

But looking at their website, prices seems quite reasonable (some lower, some higher prices).

I don't think Bordeaux en primeur prices are worthwhile anymore compared to several years ago. And considering that you need to factor in the long wait (at least 1.5 years from now) before the wine reaches you, additional tax and delivery charges, storage space since you need to buy minimum 12 bottles of 750ml and also wait almost a decade or sometimes even more before the wines are mature.

For me it is still more feasible to buy something that is ready to drink or approachable. For Bordeaux you can easily find well aged ones readily available and there are so many other well priced wines out there to try as well.

I couldn't agree more with you bro.. Haha.. Just enjoy the drink.. =/

And... if the wines fail you.. just drink beer.. Cheers! :s13:

Once in awhile I open a Penfolds.. But I normally pair my steaks with Rusden Black Guts.. For the "spicyness".. Haha

There's a lot of wine bars in SG.. I normally drink at one of my merchant's tasting room (I make an order for a wine, ask him to decant and arrive 1.5hrs later.. Plus I can smoke just outside the door)

Friends

I am visiting Margaret River coming March holidays. Which are the 2nd tier vineyards that are worth a visit? I see that the top tier ones are pretty much selling at the same prices as SG hence no point going or buying. i.e. Leeuwin, Voyager, Moss Wood

Looking to buy a case or two back.:D

Thx
