What brands do u normally drink? Under $20 per bottle limits the choices. Your best best are the discounted bottles in fairprice and wine connection.

Do you guys have recommendations on wine fridges?

I’m looking for reviews on kadeka wine fridges. Wondering how this brand fares.

I had a brandt which broke down on me after 2 years and just right after the warranty period.

If you guys have recommendations on other fridge brands, do let me know!

Think my palate has changed quite abit since i was last active in this forum. Used to drink more new world back then but now almost exclusively old world. Good that you are still drinking broadly. I bet your vocabulary has grown by leaps n bounds.

I tried a few new world pinots but cant seem to compare. Tried a highly rated Burn Cottage from central otago which is supposedly 1 of the best regions for pinots in NZ but somehow came up lacking in depth and concentration. I could have been drinking it too young cos i think it was a 2014 or 2015 vintage. Havent tried any from Oregon but i heard its the best spot in the world for p.n outside burgundy.

Any producers u recommend for the tasmanian pinots?
Would love to buy a couple to try

My go to appellations are the usual suspects:
Red: gevrey, chambolle musigny, NSGs, morey st denis, volnay
White: meursault and puligny montrachets

Mostly 1er crus and the occasional grand cru if i'm feeling rich. Haha

Producers still the most important factor for burgs i feel.
Same appellation or even same climat can still turn out worlds apart (in terms of quality and price in the hands of different producers.

Sorry to follow up on dated post
These are wines I don’t normally see.
Any good shop or overseas purchase link you use to search for such wines?

Thanks

Also same question was thinking of Kadeka KA24WR. Any opinions would help

I bought vintec front exhaust model...
Spoilt in 2 yearst time and the repair expense is exorbitant.
On hindsight, such vintec model are mic.

In the end got a tecno model from Lazada,
Idea is to have cheap replaceable models 😄

I buy locally so I can't really help you with the overseas online retail.

As for cali producers there are quite a lot and they tend to be quite expensive. Are you also looking towards the classic cali cab/bordeaux blend or other types of grapes?

Ridge is a very good cali producer and can be found fairly easily. Also can consider Au Bon Climate for cali pinots and chards - they can be found fairly easily too.

If you got $$, a classic cali icon that's easy to get is Opus One. 1855 Bottle Shop as a decent american range to consider.

Is tecno brand good? The forum has been mentioning kadeka and vintec alot but havent heard much about tecno or valenti...

Anyone here bought a 160-200 bottle fridge? Any recommendations? Looking at the tecno sw-180 and valenti VAW-180SSD

Curious

Heyyy everyone,

Curious what's the regulations for posting here in the wine thread? with regards to sales of wines etc etc. Running a small micro-wine biz, trying to create a wine middle class community because it seems like a missing segment.

Also, for the past few post, I think condensation on the door of a wine fridge is common?

I get it all the time on my Vintec, our climate plays a huge part.
