i just opened the brown brothers orange muscat & flora 2006
aiyoh. its very sweet and kinda concentrated. feels abit like nectar, like ice wine.
i would say i cant taste any acidity at all.
too sweet, even for a sweet toothed person like me.

alas, i had to add ice into it.
pls dun drop ur jaw. LOL

$20 for 375ml. not worth it when i can get Nederburg for ard the same price and double the quantity.

i like the smell tho. or is the correct term 'nose'?
smells sweet yet musky.

now im taking tiny sips at it, instead of the usual gulps and twirling ard my mouth/tongue.
i seem to get a wider variety of taste this way

its something to try.
and only to buy again if you got spare cash and nothing else to buy

i can only try stuff after my exams next wednesday. but u should go ahead anyway, it's very affordable at $22; just grab it and taste it. trust your palate and your tastes. i've had experiences where someone said they liked a wine and i disliked it and vice versa.

you get what i mean about the acidity right? it just taste globby and flabby in terms of sweetness. it doesn't have that 'zing' to go with the sweetness. there are many other wines with similar levels of sweetness but more balanced. those are the ones i go for.

ok so i'm gonna need some of your help, if you're willing to offer it.

I've FINALLY found a distrbutor and direct importer of wines from Portugal. I'm not talking about Port or Sherry, I'm talking about wine wines. I am really hot for Portugese wines because they are extremely underrated simply due to the fact that there isn't a huge demand for them and they've not become a popular region as of yet simply due to market forces; thus you can get wines that overdeliver on the price point and have great value.

I need to order 6 bottles to qualify for free delivery but I'm only gonna buy two. I just wanna ask if any of you guys/or girls are willing to add on to the order to make it 6. Most of the prices bounce between the $30s and $40s region.

The website is: http://www.vivavino.com.sg/sites/english/portuguese-wines.htm

If you want to take a look at their stuffs, I already know what I want because they carry good labels. They sent me their price list and I can share if with those who are interested.

*keep in mind, that I do not belong nor am I affiliated or have any personal interest in the company's revenue. I do not get a single cent from this, I just want to buy their wines and need someone else to help top up the order, because i don't want to friggin travel to east coast area just to pick them up. Kindly PM me within the week!

assuming it's been stored properly, you should drink it. have a nice dinner with family and/or friends and pop open the bottle. it's a pretty good 4th growth bordeaux. the 1982 vintage is good for drinking now. it's now at its peak drinking period. make sure you decant it for about 1+ to 2 hours before serving.

ANNOUNCEMENT : I want to organize an intro wine appreciation session or just a casual relax session. I would prefer if it were sometime within the month of April. Right now I have 2 suggestions:

1) Visit a wine place where we can sit down and select a whole array of affordable wines like Wine Connection @ Cuppage Centre or Bottles & Bottles @ Vivo.

2) We do a BYOBG (bring your own bottle & glass) to a private/public location (condo function room? park? etc...) So everyone brings a bottle of wine they've never had or seen before within a certain budget and we just have fun with them and taste them all.

BYOBG sounds fun but only if we brainstorm the places now.
