rather cold in Japan recently... especially today all of the suddenly so cold...



in Mt Asahidake, it has skipped autumn and gone into winter...

this is the mountain top area?

it is below 10 in the morning in many parts of tohoku and of course hokkaido area. if you are asking about snow, just currently only on the higher areas in hokkaido

a friend of mine was in Nikko and Kusatsu, and already the trees are reddish. a possible short/early autumn?

possibly a rerun of last year's scenario... fluctuating cold and warm days will lead to patchy and uneven fall colors... some tree species will shed all their leaves even before other tree species have even start to turn red...

I experienced 13 deg in Tokyo last year....

Actually. Now Japan is hotter than historical average

Late Oct to early Nov also likely to be warmer or avg.

Nikko Koyo is always early. no surprise. Nikko is much colder than Tokyo etc.
