Goin to hangzhou soon. Will it be ok to wear thermal layer as base and den a wool sweater den wear normal cotton shirt and den a down jacket? Nid to wear sweater or winter coat in between the cotton shirt n down jacket?

Thermal layer - Cotton Shirt - Sweater - Down jacket sounds reasonable. You could get a winter coat to layer above or below the down jacket. But in that case, I think you'd be better off with a down-vest instead of a down jacket. Plan for accessories like gloves, scarf and a hat.
