I don't see a standalone peripherals forum anymore, so I hope this is the right place to post.

Looking for a keyboard with dual connection mode similar to the x box one controller. Can be used wirelessly or wired via usb cable and comes with touch pad.

Any recommendations ?

Most wireless keyboard works even when charging. I'm currently using Logitech K810. If you want it together with trackpad, K400R or Microsoft All in one wireless. Alternatively, you can wait for the release of Razer Turret

For iPad, only Bluetooth keyboard. Your Xbox and TV must have Bluetooth function if you want to use all 3 together.

Can the models you suggested work with the cable attached minus battery ?

That's why I mentioned Xbox one controller because it works without batteries when attached via the micro usb cable.

I am using Logitech K830 currently. It works with many devices (together with its proprietary wireless receiver) out of the box. I've tried out for you by removing wireless receiver but unfortunately it doesn't work with USB cable attached as the port seemed to be solely for battery charging. Wireless seemed to be the only way of connection.

With this, i believe most (if not all) of Logitech's wireless keyboard will not work like Xbox controller.

Here's a review for this model:

I think the only solution is a full size bluetooth mechanical keyboard that can be use both wired and wireless (bluetooth). The only thing dont have trackpad.

Filco Majestouch 2 convertible.
