been using wired earphones all my life. saw many ppl use those short short round e neck or totally wireless earphones but so many different types out there.

basically if i wana use the earphones on hp, tablet & pc, is wireless bluetooth type the one to use? if yes, what is recommended? if no, what is recommended?

Hi, yes this is the right thread to ask, but not sure how we can give you the right answer. Everyone has their preference. Wireless earphones are convenient because it is wireless. Most smartphone and tablets will have Bluetooth enabled so it will work with wireless earphones.

The drawback with wireless earphones is that you need to charge regularly. The average battery life is about 5 hours.

I would not recommend true wireless until you have tried normal wireless for a while and decide if it works for you. I personally do not like to use true wireless because it is a hassle to store them away. I only use them for special purpose, e.g. running. I won't use them regularly in office because they cannot hang around my neck. For that, I would wear neckband earphones, which is always on, so when there are incoming calls or occasional video listening, I just insert the earbuds to my ears.

Those who have had the chance to try out both the Jabra Elite 65t and the E8s, how do they stack up and what are the pros & cons of each?

Comfort: I find the 65t has better in-ear support but needs a little adjustment because the eartips are small which could result in sound leakage. E8 eartips are larger and so it seals in my ear canals faster and I don't need additional adjustments.

Sound quality: 65t delivers a slightly more transparent sound, the sound staging is more apparent. But both have similar sound signature, that is, clear treble, moderate bass.

Case design: E8 is nicer design, and the charging case is more compact. 65t case is odd: it cannot stand, and the buds protrude precariously without magnets to keep them in place.

Connection quality: I find the 65t quality is better than E8, with less distortion at the high frequency when pairing over Android devices. If you use iPhone, then there is no issue.

Battery life: 65t lasts longer on paper. Both cradles can only charge the earbuds 2 times.

Price: 65t is cheaper. And given it is generally similar in audio quality and feature set, I would go for 65t. If you have brand preference, then Beoplay E8 is also fine.

for me..I find 65t too bright...no matter how I adjust the eq..still same.

For connection wise..I find it no different to connect my LG v30..

I just take a long bus ride with my E8 and sit just behind the terminal there..no distortion and signal interference at all...

And I find 65t sit better in ear than e8 alot..maybe I still not used to e8 yet. Now testing spinfit on e8 and the fit seem to be improved..

And I just notice...e8 on my op5 is louder a lot than on my v30...dunno why...same volume setting..on my v30..the Bluetooth sound setting already max out..and earbud too..still quite soft.

With so many discussions going on here on the Beoplay and Jabra, I want to intro you guys another true wireless earbuds that I like. It's the SOUL X-SHOCK.

The eartip design is similar to Bragi, with small silicone and reaches deep into the ear canals.

The sound signature is really extensive deep bass, for bass lovers and all the latest pop music. The treble is tamed but sufficiently clear, just not as forward as E8 and 65t.

The X-SHOCK charging case stores 3000mAh, charges the earbuds 16 times and doubles as a power bank.

The major dislike is the buttons are very hard to press, so when I press in, the earbuds got pushed into the ear canals. Comparatively, the 65t buttons are easier to click and the design is such that you push against the outer ear walls instead of into the ear canals.

There are no companion apps, no ambient mode, no EQ settings. But bass lovers, this is the earbuds to check out.

Thanks for your detailed and informative inputs! I bought the 65t after auditioning them, together with the E8s and the Bose Soundsport. Sound-wise, I actually thought the 65t was the best to me, and I really like the low-profile aesthetics and the fit in my ears as well. I guess the choice was pretty clear-cut, for me anyways!

default e8 silicone tips is M which I find it too big...S still like too protuded... Xs too small...spin fit is like between S and xs..
