PSA for those interested or considering getting the Tronsmart Spunky Beat tws earbuds, do note that this model has an inherent issue when paired with certain devices namely smart tv and android tv boxes. The earbuds will automatically disconnect and turn off after 5 minutes.

Bought a pair from lazada and it works flawlessly when paired to my smartphone and DAP. But when tested on 2 different android tv boxes i own, the 5 min turn off problem occurs. Its definitely not a faulty set as a bunch of other owners are posting on tronsmart's youtube channel about the same issue.

Just gotten Tronsmart Spunky Beat days ago during the flash sale on Lazada @$35 only lol. Overall I am quite happy with it especially the sound quality. Didn't expect the sound performance can be so close to my Galaxy Buds. Some minor downsides: the touch control is not sensitive, no App to control and the firmware seems buggy when connecting to the phone. Everythings works perfectly when it connected to the phone.

Have been hearing people saying the sound quality for this is good. haha. 35 is a good price though, closer to the price on aliexpress at 25US. normally a bit overpriced.

Connect to smartphone is fine. Connect to my audio player also works ok but sometimes will have audio drops even though the player is right in front of me. For me i hate the touch controls. Slightest brush will make contact and pause the song playing.

Anyway i got no choice but to file for return with lazada. Tried contacting the seller and all they ask is bunch of questions like "you sure the earbuds are connected to the device" or "have you tried pairing the earbuds to your mobile". There are quite a few other owners complaining about this same issue on tronsmart's youtube videos and tronsmart themselves dont seem to have a proper solution to fix it. If the root of problem is indeed the firmware then it not even physically possible to update the firmware by oneself. Overall i think tronsmart released this product without testing its workability with the widest range of devices. They must be thinking "if it works on smartphone, then it must work on everything else."

Add: When you received the parcel from lazada containing the spunkbeat, did it come with an extra china 2 pin power cord? Was wondering why seller bundled this useless power cord into the parcel and i threw the cord away.

I tried the demo at Stereo with my Sony IER-Z1R, sounded veiled and muffled? Anyway, will be going back this weekends to try the new Nuarl N6pro tws maybe will give the Fiio another try.

What were you expecting lol, bluetooth definitely bottleneck the sound quality and it definitely won't provide enough power. Ppl pair it with some equally price dap leh

I am pretty sure it's firmware issue however, I dun think they will fix it. I think Tronsmart will just ignore it since the price of the earbuds is so cheap. I have used a bunch of other tws earpieces which worked flawlessly on android tv boxes so i dont know how or why tronsmart can release a few month old product that is not capable of supporting a wider range of devices.

Not sure what do they mean exactly. Just go ahead and refund since they have agreed. My auto paring also having issue now...I have to pair them up manually everytime I want to use lol.

Think they meant the earbuds work best with smartphones but for other devices is use at your own peril. Oh well, hope they process the refund asap.....i should have just bought the mpow t5 from shopee instead.
