I just gotten 2 x Aztech WIPC408 HD.... I am on MAC. There is no way I can access the live feed from the mac right? We need Windows ? So far I can only see the feeds from my mobile phone....

How do I set recording etc? I don't see the features.....

Thanks

Narrowed down my selection to either Foscam FI9831W / FI9826W vs VStarCam C7838WIP?

Seen the youtube for the display for FI9831 and FI9826, seems really clear.

But seems like most of the bros here are recommending VStarCam. Am I missing anything here?

C7838WIP not sold here yet, i just saw this mornings' disclaimer on failed product testing. So if u buy, most probably a lemon unit since it just launched. Stick with T7838WIP first til MARIX tests a working unit.

My last test with a sample C7838WIP, ONVIF not working.

Hi geckoSG,

Thanks for the advice. What's your opinion on Foscam? Why is it that not much people talking about it in this thread?

:)

How to setup my FI8910W cameras to be able to view it on my phone and ipad.

Hi all, is there anyone who is able to help me in setting up my cameras for viewing outside my wifi range. (ie. on my 3g mobile and office desktops). I had followed some of the youtubes videos i google but I am still unable to view it.

I am clueless on what to do for the port forwarding rules and etc. I do not mind paying for a service fee if the problem could be solved. Please PM me. Thanks!:s11:

I had bad experience with my FI8918W (horrible motor issues), since then, never went back to foscam. They seems quite a late comer for the PnP platform. But there are strong supporters for foscam also, its easily supported by third party apps for multi-view, which vstarcam already had multi-view on live streaming for their cameras.

Bought VstarCam T7838WIP

Used the software which came with it works well.

I need to use Live Cams Pro as I have other camera to view too.

Anyone know how I configure the setting in LiveCams Pro to view Vstarcam T7838WIP.

Anyone can help?

I see you guys are all quite pro with this, I was wondering if any of you have any experience with surveillence ip cams with nvr.

I bought one ip cam from dahua (1.3 megapixel 720p 5fps, video only) and I'm recording it to my pc with the nvr software provided, it's quite a good upgrade from the analog systems, but I don't feel it's that clear. And also the night vision is not all that great.

Is there anything that's "better" in terms of quality/night vision?

Did u focus the lens? Next, how clear is clear to you? Remember, most megapixel consumer cameras r 1.0~1.3megapixel. But other factors kicks in on clarity too. Night vision wise, if not bright for U, add additional IR lamps ard the area. Can buy online.

Its confirmed that all initial batch of vstarcam C series on the market is not working properly. Onvif is not working. I got a co-worker buy online n we tested onvif is not detectable with an onvif dvr. Now he kpkb seller didnt tell him.

I question marix n they too confirmed this, but heard that the batch they r receiving is fixed. So, if u r buying C series, make sure u ask these merchants to test n show u. Dun end up like my co-worker.

I used something very similar to this with my ancient Linksys MVC-200
