Hi all, I'm new to this forum.

I recall reading about this cctv seller, posted by user cherryade, but I can't find the post now.

This Carousell seller, username: installationcctv , is a fraudster and sold me defective cameras which I suspect aren't even brand new.

He claims that there is a 1 year warranty, but has gone MIA. He refuses to pick up my calls, and when I use a different number to call him, he picks up, only to hang up when I identify myself.

Similar to the experience of user cherryade, he told me not to set passwords. I only suspected he was invading our privacy after I discovered that the camera lens was moving by itself. That was when I set passwords to all cameras.

I want to lodge a police report but do not have further details about him other than his name and mobile number. I'm not even sure if it's his real name.

After i read the post from Fantalicious, i decided to kpo and call Dylan to find out the other side of the story. Because i do not believe Dylan is this kind of person. Even after 15 months and 4 days, I called him to request him to guide me through how to link to my new internet, he still guide me through without paying a single cent. As he told me, if he has to come down, there will be a $30 charges (fair enough), transportation cost for a handyman is even more before even getting a job done.


Here goes the story after so long grandmother story, told by Dylan to me.

He told me the first trip, he went down was to help you install 3 cctv cameras, same as me. No issues for many months. Then after he received a request asking to install another one more camera in the house. He went down for the appointment.

Everyone guess where the camera was installed, TOILET!!!, I was personally shocked and press on to asked Dylan a chain of questions, are you sure? What does the owner want to catch in the toilet? Did you install? To summarise, he mentioned he did installed but he was not feeling right about this family and told the owner to put a sign outside so that no one will step in without noticing it. He also told you or one of your decision maker in the family, he won't be responsible if the govt authority or maid agency come to know this as it is against the law.
i find this real sick! Who the h*** will want to install cctv camera in the toilet.

Let's move on to finish the long story, months went by and he received a call to relocate the cameras for your family. At the end, u wanted to safe cost, u relocated yourself. After a few days of relocation, one of the camera having issues, you requested him to come down to rectify the fault. He rectify it but the fault keeps coming back. He told me the whole technical details and found out that it was your software not updated. However, due to not enough storage did not upgrade. I'm not very familiar with software but i do know that if software is not updated, there will be some apps misfunction, it happens to my games sometimes.

During the last visit, he also did out of a good gesture to exchange the camera for you instead of showing a little of appreciation you had a big fuss over it because you are in the midst of scolding the maid while he was trying to explain to you.

With regards to the password, I do believe he sent a message to all the customers, including me who is out of warranty that to set the password because the system has been prompting us to do it. If you have set a password, how the world anyone is going to have it. You think everyone is so sick to watch who did not flush the toilet after using? Furthermore, i believe he has many customers, u think he is so free to watch what happen to every camera.

Very sad for Dylan, he is a nice guy and he is not calculative in giving on-site service even though he don't owns a car but he had a misfortune to meet such a nasty and sick customer. There are even more nasty vendors i ever had experience for cameras. Every time on-site even under warranty they will still charge you, only provide you a call support. Most of the time, the staff is entertaining you.

I am just doing out of a volunteer and kpo to share the other part of the story to all the readers here so that everyone get a good picture of what went on or wrong. It is unfair and unable to measure who is a good seller or who is a good customer.

Anyway just to share with you, Fantalicious, i had recommended a few of my friends to install, and all are happy with his service and cameras. I think the problem lies with you.

I'm not sliding to his side trying to sayang him. This is my experience about the service he has given to me and my friends that i recommended to.

Well, i agree with what you mentioned that he should reject the installation but is his job, come on la, everyone need to earn a living.

Some vendors in the market can be good, some vendors in the market can be nasty, I had enquire on one of the vendor in sim lim square, selling similar product but does not come with installation already cost $169++++, I paid him another a few more bucks comes with installation. And most vendor do not provide on-site support, the most u can call them and follow the steps through.

Sometimes customers is the one making nuisance and giving tons of questions or requests. It is quite difficult to judge how this vendor, Dylan and base on this 2 unsatisfied customers to condemn him. Of cos, i'm one of the satisfied customer, now is 2 Vs 1. Hahaha, he still lose. Oh well, the grandmother story ends here.

My personal views about this sharing.

In this "service-line" classified industry, it is based on each individual satisfactory. There are sure to have satisfied and unsatisfied customers, would you agree?

this is not a high court session, just a normal sharing session that "Dr_ARCHer" set up to exchange different experiences and the new technology that is coming up. Chill! Don't be so serious

Share my experience.

Currently I am using Sineoji ipcam cameras PT498 and PT528. Happy with it, live viewing is very smooth and responsive. Video image quality is clear and sharp.

Recommended my sis in law as she has a new born. Ordered online, although he has a busy schedule, Dean managed to get me an appointment as someone else reschedule theirs. By the way, I got her to order PT713 and PT528.

The cameras were all setup, mounted and configured by Dean on the day of installation. He was patient to explain the app utility to my sis in law. After a week, I checked with sis in law on the cameras, she was delighted and happy with the cameras.

Many thanks to Dean for the excellent support and service !

Apologies for the bluntness but the information you have is distorted. In fact, I suspect you may be related in some way to Dylan or I won't be surprised if you are Dylan yourself.

For the sake of transparency, the Bathroom in question is my kids' bathroom. Nobody uses this bathroom except my kids. I installed a CCTV camera in this bathroom after my 2.5 year old daughter was abused by my Burmese maid. My daughter would always be screaming and crying in the bathroom when my maid showers her. We later found out about the abuse and this maid is currently under investigation by the police. Dylan is fully aware of this and I'm shocked that he would distort the facts in an attempt to distract attention from his wrongdoing.

Anyway, all of us are busy people with our own lives to lead, and I, being a mother of 2 young kids have better use of my time than to come in here and make up stories.

I do not see any point in arguing with you nor to defend myself as I believe the other forum users have common sense to discern right from wrong.

Dylan has been avoiding all my calls and I have receipts to prove that my cameras are still under warranty.

You seem very closely connected to Dylan. Perhaps you should get Dylan to contact me to settle this problem and to honor his side of the deal instead of hiding like a coward.

I have called CASE and they suggested that I go to the police, which I'm planning to do so tomorrow.

I will provide my update here thereafter.

The bathroom in question is my kids' bathroom. My 2.5 year old daughter would scream and cry when my Burmese maid showers her. We later found out this maid was abusing her. The maid is now under investigation with the police.

I'm shocked as Dylan is fully aware of this. The blatant distortion of facts is obviously to cast doubt on my character and distract attention from his wrongdoing.

I'm a mother of 2 young kids and frankly, I'm not do free to make up stories and create trouble here.

Let other forum users discern right from wrong.

Pls will any other forum users who have additional information about this unscrupulous seller, Dylan, pls step forward and share details?

I'm heading to the police tomorrow and any information which can help the police track him down will be helpful .

I seem to have this feeling that you are Dylan himself or a rather close ally of his. The 'support' you are giving him is way above what a typical average customer would provide.

Since you are so 'close' to Dylan, pls relay this message to him. I'm heading to the police tomorrow. I would be happy to settle this amicably like 2 mature adults. He has my contact number and can contact me anytime. Otherwise, we will leave this with the good hands of the law.

I forgot to add, the camera which would move it's lens by itself is the one in the master bedroom. The other cameras in the house do not have this issue. I suspect this pervert was trying to spy on my husband and myself. The lens is positioned such that it is directed towards our safe. But in the middle of the night, it would move to face the bed. I noticed this in March and started monitoring it. I didn't alert Dylan to this till much later. I recorded all the dates and timings of the lens moving to face the bed and will provide this to the police.

FYI, Dylan himself advised that I do not set password as his customers have forgotten passwords and that caused. Lot of inconvenience. This is the same advice he gave Cherryade, who posted about Dylan on this thread previously.

In addition to selling defective products and not honoring the 1 year warranty, I will be reporting him for invasion of privacy too.

You want people to share their experiences here, there you are implicate me with Dylan or an ally of him???

Does that mean those who share good experiences is/are Dylan(s) or an accomplice? Is very funny and confusing, if you do not want to hear stories from others, then pls do not share anything about him to us.

your experience with him is bad or i should say upset, but mine was not like yours. Move on with your next action against him, no one is stopping you.

What you have experience or encountered, i have not.

This kind of handyman or electrician or renovation or should i put it as kung hu jobs, is really difficult to say who is good and bad in giving service. The standard of yours and others will not match.

Before he go MIA when your camera is having a problem, did he make a trip down to your place and service for you or guide you over the phone?

Exactly. I was naive and trusted him until we discovered our master bedroom camera lens moving by itself. We set passwords to all cameras thereafter. I confronted Dylan about this and he explained that there could be a manufacturing defect. Seriously?!?!

My husband didn't trust the look of him and suggested reporting this to the police. Otherwise he will be spying on his other customers too. What a sick pervert!

This kind of handyman or electrician or renovation or should i put it as kung hu jobs, is really difficult to say who is good and bad in giving service. The standard of yours and others will not match.

The information you have shared in your posts is based on what Dylan told you. This is one sided and far from the truth.

As mentioned previously, since you are so close to Dylan, pls let him know I'm heading to the police first thing in the morning. He knows where and how to contact me if he decides to stop his ridiculous MIA tactic. He can either replace the defective camera as it's still under warranty or provide a full refund and get his useless cameras back as we obviously do not wish to have anything else to do with this pervert.

As for you, I suggest you get your facts right before you make a fool of yourself here.

Before he go MIA when your camera is having a problem, did he make a trip down to your place and service for you or guide you over the phone?

You can stop your ********, I showed the thread to the police officer and even he himself thinks it's you, Dylan trying to pose as a satisfied customer in a desperate attempt to salvage your reputation.

Police report has already been lodged today, Report No: E/20170705/2025
This case is currently under investigation and the investigating officer in charge of this case is urging other buyers who have experienced unscrupulous business practice and/or invasion of privacy issues in relation to Dylan to contact him (Song Jian Li: 63918464).

Will let the law deal with this sick pervert.

Just found your post.
I have a similar experience with Dylan, if not worse than yours.

I have already made a police report today, Report No: E/20170705/2025
This case is currently under investigation and the investigating officer in charge of this case is urging other buyers who have experienced unscrupulous business practice and/or invasion of privacy issues in relation to Dylan to contact him (Song Jian Li: 63918464).

Will leave this in the good hands of our police :)
