Wireless mouse/keyboard

My last wireless use was some 3 or 4 years ago... so dont know hows the wireless technology now...

is the battery lasting? or need to replace or recharge frequently? how about the wireless connection? will lose connection frequently?

any recommendations of keyboard/mouse?

still thinking whether to go wired or wireless...lol
