Hi if my PC is at the red circled position and my wireless printer is at yellow location, possible to connect via wireless and print? Is it easy to configure?

Yes it should work. Provided you setup the two machines correctly. Wireless printer works on 2.4ghz. You need to make sure your PC is connected to 2.4.ghz wifi signal so that both of them can be connected together. They should both be on the same SSID.

It depends on where is your wireless router. It's best to connect your wireless printer to your router via static IP address. Can refer to your wireless printer manual on this. Just give it a try, and if works... OK.

The PC and printer are connected via the wireless network so yes, the arrangement can work. Just follow the instructions to configure. Quite straightforward when I did mine.

Wireless printers can be set to infrastructure mode also i.e. they connect to your existing wireless network

As most PC and mobile phones are on 5ghz wifi connection and printers still on 2.4ghz, user is unable to connect the two machines together. I learned it the hard way. I must remember to change my PC connection down to 2.4ghz connection in order for both of them to be connected together.

Same for remote desktop connection between two machine. I was happily connecting my laptop and PC and suddenly one day I could not connect. Only after while I realized my laptop connected to my 2.4ghz band while my PC was still on 5ghz.

Because of this complexity I rather to use LAN port for my printer. Save the trouble and the worry about distance. Now I make sure all my devices are only connected to 5ghz wifi. Less headache.

Actually, don't quite understand why you are asking this question. You can actually run a test. If you have wifi connection in those places, you will be able to connect. Right?

PS: unless you connect your mobile phone via lan or mobile network all the time. = S

The simplest and better way is to connect the printer to the LAN port, problem solved.

If you need more LAN port for that room, get a switch or grab a spare or old router and configure it as AP and use it as wireless AP and 3 port switch, you end up with printer connected, better wireless coverage and 3 wired LAN port, best of both world.

Yup all rooms will have a RJ45 faceplate to accomodate lan points

Exactly what I'm doing now in my office for years.

I need internet access in my rented office, the landlord's router no more vacant LAN port. Without a second though, go SLS buy a Dlink 4 port Giga switch, unplug the LAN cable to their shared printer and connect it to the 4 ports switch, run a 60m LAN cable from one of the LAN port on the switch to my office. Grab my spare WD dual band router with an internal 2TB hard drive to use as AP and 3 port wired switch. My Fuji Xerox wireless printer can now place in any corner of my office with enough wired LAN and wireless for all my devices. I can now use their A3 color laser printer if needed to (with permission), what more can I ask for with a $30 switch?

My laptop is on the 5GHz SSID. Printer connected to the 2.4 GHz SSID. Both devices connected to the same router. I am able to print. I think as long as it is the same router, the laptop can communicate with the printer since they are on the same network.

Both need to be on the same gateway and subnet, that's all.

Just try it out. Worse come to worse, just use LAN point if your printer supports it. The only advantage of having wireless printer is network cabling and it can be anywhere as long as it has good signal from the router. Just a word of caution. If your printer is inkjet, never ever switch it off and put it on standby mode. Otherwise, you will have clogged print head.
