Bring more Singapore dollars, exchange at Myeongdong for higher rates than Singapore.

At least for this period since October.

It is because SGD became weaker against KRW. Last time was $1 gives 900 won. Now $1 gives you 880 won. Middleman (the money changer) not included.

What's the rate at Korea using SGD now?

1 SGD to 869-875 KRW. The japanese, singaporean, us people are complaining about it. I believe it is related to the korean political activities coming in december.

No need. It's rather easy to change in Korea especially at Myeong-Dong. It's like in Singapore, walk into any money changing shops and get their rates before you change.

i will like to share my experience with u all. went korea on 23 nov. realised that the exchange rate at Incheon airport is better than Arcade money exchanger. So u guys mite want to change ur monies at Incheon airport instead.

I forgot the exact exchange rates, bt as a rough guide:

Arcade: 1 SGD to ~890won
VS
Incheon airport: 1 SGD to 900+ won

Exchange rates were around the dates of 20 - 23 Nov.

BTW, saw this info on the internet:

Just got 1SGD:874KRW. The KRW really strengthened quite a bit these few weeks.
