Thanks for sharing... Flying off this coming Thursday...

Be prepared for the cold... really chilling wind... I can survive Hokkaido ski resorts in mid-late December without gloves and ear muffs... but in Seoul I needed all those and a face mask as well... the wind into your face is really spine chilling... and do prepared some heat packs just in case... my bro brought some portable usb heater... very handy... put in pocket to warm your hands...

Very bad exchange rate in Myeongdong here...

Most money changers over there displayed big big rates for JPY, USD, RMB and HKD. I guess SGD is not a popular transacted money in korea, hence the lousier exchange rate.

How is the weather for you? Extra clothes?

This morning was - 12 Dec c in Myeongdong here... But feels like - 17 deg c as the weather.com showed... Super cold. Best to have mouth /nose mask and heat pack with you. Also those heattech inner wear... If you're wearing glasses, will be troublesome with the mask as it'll be foggy on your glasses...
Overall fun but cold.

On the way to vivaldi Park for the ski. Will be much colder there...

Enjoy your trip here...

Think the coldest will be -17 DegC tomorrow morning 7 and 8am based on the forecast from weather.com. After that will not be much lower anymore.
Still nose / mouth + ear cover is recommended and not forgetting the heat pack.

Just returned from Seoul.
Although it was cold, it was sunny, so didn't feel that cold.
My jacket has 2 layers and 90% goose down, so it was really comfortable.
I wore gloves and had heat packs in both pockets.
I wore a wool skirt at knee level and thermal pants and it was comfortable.

Although it was subzero, it was really dry, so no snow at all.
Nami Island was covered with dried leaves.

Yes, the rates there are really no good.
The best I saw was a shop opposite Shinsegae going for 815 on Christmas Eve.

glad u are well prepared...

we went nami island as well... the pond and fountains all froze up... hard enough to withstand an adults weight... not the kind of winter sonata we hope to see though with all those dried leaves... after nami island we went Garden of the Morning Calm in the evening... the light display is quite nice... worth the effort to go...

oh yah... one advice for parents bringing strollers along... please prepare those winter covers for your strollers... those with footmuffs will be good... make sure ur baby hands are tugged in at all times... and a small heat pack to keep the baby warm... headwind without a cover for the stroller is extremely cold for the baby...

Seoul was extremely cold, dry and sunny while we were there... but we were lucky to catch some snow in the morning and afternoon on the 13Dec... kids had fun playing in the snow despite the cold...

according to forecast... unlikely to have snow for the next 10 days... but who knows...

we only got the snow forecast abt 3-4 days ahead... but must be at least partly cloudy to have a slight chance... if big big sunny forecast is very unlikely liaoz...

u may get to see snow if u head to the ski resorts...

we decided to skip vivaldi when my group realized we are not quite prepared for the cold... the kids wun enjoy anyway...
