Dear fellow friends, recently I've been looking around online for a laptop to personal use and gaming (e.g. fortnite).

Initially, Aftershock Vapor 15X attracted me for its ultra lightweight and 14".
However, after read few reviews on AS laptop, not really for IT goondu like me
where "certain remedies" required on end user on troubleshooting maybe required.

I've viewed thru these models: -
- 14" Asus Zen Book UX433 - $ 1795
- 15.6" Acer Predator triton 500 PT515-51-75AF - $ 2245
- 14" Aftershock Vapor 15X - $ 2400

Which laptop will you recommend? or did I miss out better value for money laptop.

If your budget is around 2400, get the G14. Ryzen 7 w 1660 will fit that price.

If you have to compare with Aftershock 15x,G14 has a better cpu (faster, more core and more battery efficient). graphic 15x is better but if you just game 1080 and don't need Ray tracing, 1660 is good enough.

Lastly, if you can wait until the end of year when Tiger Lake comes out, you can consider waiting...2021 q1 will more refresh laptops with it. Tiger Lake is way better than any Intel cpu out there.

Made this purchase so as to able to catch in time with my kids after-exam and school holidays playing fortnite with them. While my old Acer Aspire, turning up

unable to make payment. While Acer CS was rectifying the problem, I came

if i am not mistaken, the g14 lacks a webcam which is quite a deal breaker given how many things are being shifted online.

If not wrong g14 has one of the worst gaming laptop screen too, very slow response time for a high refresh rate screen.

No Webcam, you can always buy one.

Slow refresh rate is not too bad. That's my opinion as I play warzone with it. I guess if you are really hardcore than no. But there is a lot of plus for this laptop to consider.. Good battery life, good performance and good form factor.

But yea, every laptop has its downsides, nothing is perfect

ADDON is the distributor for major brands laptops in Singapore. Basically, the level 3 shops in Bugis Junction belongs to them. Unless you buy direct through online manufacturer's shop, most of the them you are buying through distributors. No worries on that at all.

Yes, you're absolutely right on light weight and portability. Hence, chosen a 14" over the 15.6" Triton 500.
Yet, hopefully have a powerful machine within my budget for personal home use and gaming.

Webcam wise, i hardly use nor do I do live streaming.
Good to have though, but not a necessity for me.

Yea. Is either this or that, having best of both world within a constraint
budget is tough. Too heavy, i also don't like. Need troubleshoot i also cmi.
Very jiak lat.

Now standing up after sitting too long, back also ache. So, heavy laptop
is out. So, gotta balance it out based on priorities.
