Working shift job, can I study @ uni?

Hi all, I am currently working shift job. My work is 4 day work, 2 day off.
It will be
2x(pm)shift, 2x(am) shift and 2x off

monday - pm shift
tuesday - pm shift
wednesday - am shift
thursday - am shift
friday - off
saturday - off

sunday - pm shift
monday-pm shift
tuesday - am shift
wednesday - am shift
thursday - off
friday - off

I cannot attend regular part time courses because of this, those courses are made for people who work from 8-5. What other options do I have?

I have friends who worked with 12 hours shift and also did their part time study. Now they have graduated, maybe not with impressive GPA, but at least they went through the part time study successfully.

I've seen ppl working shift work and study part time. I think they make arrangement such as work morning shift on the day that they have class at night. So it depend on how supportive your company or superior is.

Another way is change your job.

I was in the same dilemma as you before when I found RHUL program with Kaplan has very little class time. I decided to enrol in it as I could take Friday off, attend class that night then go for sat noon class til evening and then go for work.

U can also try ask your superior for time off on Friday and sat so u can attend class.

Being in shift work is tough for studies but if u r willing to sacrifice your leaves and sleep, it can be done.

My job no chance for private uni. Will hop around when I get my degree.

Im in my last phrase of degree and my final paper in 1 month time. Im in shift job too. Classes are from 7pm to 10pm.

Previous Job

- Fix shift. 2days (8am-8pm) , Off 2 days, 2days (8pm-8am) , Off 2 days.
- Boss is willing to give me time off for class when i happen to have class during my shift.
- I have 2 other colleagues so work still can be done with them around


Current job
- Shift job too, 12 hours shift
- team lead to plan schedule
- Im a solo tanker thus i cant leave early for class anymore.
- however my team lead is kind enough to put me for duty only when i dun have classes.


Life is pretty hectic with assignments, projects, classes and work. But im lucky to have great superiors whom supported me through the way.

yes for weekdays is fixed 7-10pm
u cannot register which day u want to attend
its arranged by the school.

and
one week before any small test ,
assume that smal test on a Tues a week later of work below timing :
