Ah, good work then! It's awesome! How many layers of cream and conditioner did you apply? Which products did you use?

I used 2 layers of burgol neutral cream to seal the color as they contain lesser turpentine compared to saphir neutral cream (less chance of color smearing) and one layer of saphir rejuvenator. For rejuvenator I applied by finger by let the leather open out it's pores to absorb the cream more effectively...

How is their sizing compared with carmina?

I don't have enough to compare. I weak UK9 in Carmina Rain, but went with 9.5 in Meermin/hiro (but in a balmoral book).
Both are comfortable for me (a slightly wide foot with high instep.

If the leather is dry I don't think it's a manufacturing defect either. Use less wax polish, get leather conditioner?

I see, I mainly uses Saphir cream first, followed by Saphir wax.
Maybe later polish with cream only and see how.

I think you're seeing those lines because you polished that area prior to it getting creases. Might be just the wax cracking up.

I see, later when I do polishing will see how it goes!

Thanks to you 2! :D

Hey guys what brands other than loake1880,eea and llyr would be great for a spare pair of shoes for the rainy days and to thrash around. Thanks.

Think the average guy cannot understand how can one regard shoes that cost $300+ as spare shoes for thrashing around! :s13:

FWIW I don't treat my loakes and EEA as rainy or thrash shoes but will be partial to using them compared to more expensive shoes if I really have to go out in dress shoes under bad weather! lol

In the singaporean context.. How bad can the weather get anyway (other than scorching hot)

I didn't mean it in that way la haha. But just no need so meticulous about being scared of every little thing haha. Particularly scared of water.

It's not about the heat obviously. M referring to getting caught in a monsoon thunderstorm.

Less likely in an urban city like Singapore where shelter isn't that hard to find, but cannot be completely eliminated especially when one needs to be on the move and doesn't drive.

Thank goodness I work in a cubicle farm so that doesn't apply :D

Actually I just commissioned with EEA a pair of hatchgrain derby with Danite soles for the purpose of "thrashing around". Hatchgrain for its resistance to scuffs and Danite for its waterproofing.
:s13::s13::s13:

Hopefully ready by CNY!
