Hi guys,

I have a pair of mid-range goodyear welted shoes that need resoling. Anybody have a good cobbler to recommend?

Thanks!

resoling as in stitch work required or glue paste the rubber layer? Two very different requirements btw

got pics?

Terras is right. EEA.

Be prepared to pay 180. Quite steep though for Allen Edmonds bought 2nd hand

Do you have pics of the damage?

thanks guys.

Yea I think 180 is quite steep for 2nd hand Allen Edmonds and I'm not sure if any other cobbler around does this.
Can't take pics as I'm at work but the soles are quite worn esp the toe tip area.
Would a topy on already worn soles be suitable?

depends on how worn in the sole is. Also if its worn until abit soft and spongey then no way.

But technically u can. Alternatively plastic taps

no one on local shoes does a proper goodyear welt resole. EEA and Mason send theirs to Vietnam and Japan respectively.

Thats why for red wings also, shukey only authorised to do crepe sole replacement. Full gyw leather soles like Iron Rangers need to send back USA
