Can they be used with both shoes and other leather products?

I don't see why not.
But my other leather products are wallets and belts and I normally use cream on those.

If water on the leather surface gets partly absorbed instead of beading, does this mean the wax layer alr gone and good to use Reno?

He's probably referring to Renovateur. Renomat pretty much removes all waxes and oil from the leather and is used for stripping finishes with no conditioning properties.

Yes Renovateur.

It's a pre-prep for polishing and it strips a thin top layer of wax away (where all the dust,dirt and gunk gets embedded) to present a fresh surface for the new coat

This is why so many times on SF and even here, you'll get couple of posts now and then on people using reno on fresh new pairs and stripping portions of the thin factory finish/dye.

Yes. If I recall there's a 10% promotion for the Great Singapore Sale ongoing now.

Because people dont read + hype + branding

However its reputation is well deserved and it is an excellent product for its intended purpose. Which is to condition worn pairs and prep it for a new coat of wax. Stripping is desired for such applications to strip the dust embedded top layer and present a smoother fresh surface.

Just dont go slathering it generously and so often like its some miracle Crème de la Mer. And definitely not on fresh new shoes

Just wait for their discount, at least monthly to even bi-monthly. Just that very rare for 20% discount (for all shoes) promo period nowadays, only see 10-15% recently.
