If you have no plans to expand your shoes, then I would say is better to size down the trees.

Second this. At current GBP rates, a pair of Loake 1880 shouldn't cost u more than S$350 factoring in discount and less VAT.

+1 that's where I got my 2 Loake 1880 shoes.
With current exchange rate probably will only $255 SGD if you purchase a $150 GBP pair. I think only if boots costs slightly more a bit?

Just came back from Robinson @ RafflesCity. They have only a couple models, asked the Aunty and she has no idea which ones are 1880 and not able to provide more details.. currently 10% + 13.8%

Anyone knows if the Orchard store will have more on display?

It says 1880 clearly on the insole I believe, if it's 1880. So prolly they weren't.

Orchard will have 2 or 3 models of 1880

Btw, go there just to try, and buy online.

Metro at Centrepoint has Loake 1880 Aldwych and Hyde Boots.
Gf immediately pulled me away when she saw the Brand Loake........... Or any shoe shops.......
That was mid last month. Don't know about now.

Can try Metro Centrepoint. I tried the Sloane there which is in the Capital last. But they don't have half sizes. Only brought in full size.

guys any tips on how to prevent socks from slowly coming down the calfs to ankle as I walk?

Not sure what socks your are wearing but those from Uniqlo does not slip on me and pretty lasting so far
