Went on a spree lately cos kept getting poisoned on instagram. But everything no size so have to pre-order...:s11:

Ed Et Al Somerset - 8 weeks
A Meccariello Principes (after getting poisoned by thundermarch) - 12-15 weeks
Enzo Bonafe Double Monks - 6 months!!!!!

Can't believe "buy" 3 pairs but will have nothing new to wear during CNY :s22:

Go Skoab look around a bit? Delivery is fast if stock available, definitely can make it for CNY.

Even better since you went Lusso and try and got a good idea of sizing already.

anyone did comparisons between the different popular brands? edetal, EB, carmina etc

I am by no means experienced since I only own EB out of those but here are my anecdotal thoughts, based on what one can see and touch:

EEA - All in all, pretty meh. I think for all their products at the various price points, there are better options.. For entry-level RTW at the 300-ish price point, Loake 1880 during online sales comes to mind

Carmina - Good quality GYW shoes, but priced too closely to EB for me to consider them, unless on sale. Plus, they seem rather similar in quality to Yanko, which is just over 2/3 of the price

EB - For great value hand welted shoes, doesn't get much better than this

EB are around $650 ish range? anywhere to get cheaper? do they have any local stores?

EB is $758 from Lusso tailor at Peace Centre.

You can also try https://www.skoaktiebolaget.se/collections/enzo-bonafe, but have to take into account GST and Fedex handling fee.

If you use the non-Fedex shipping option, no free shipping but likely won't tio GST.

Of course, going to Lusso has the added advantage of being able to try. If you do go try, buy from them, the gents (and lady) there are a great bunch of people.

Took a look already actually, before I even went down to Lusso. But nothing that catches my eye...I was eyeing the Dark Brown Museum Calf double monks but sadly no stock for my size.

Haha good luck man, hoping at least my EEA will make it before CNY. They told me they will try, so hopefully things work out. Yeah I've seen her on two occasion, very friendly and helpful as Ryan was busy with another customer.

About $260 SGD including shipping.

Communication with Junkard team is good, their response speed is fast via Line app (can be as fast within mins, slowest within few hours).

Their English is not too good, so might have to explain slowly or even draw out what you want to be safe (they did ask me to draw outline of boots specs/design to prevent miscommunication).

Only bad thing is they are less customizable compared to Txture, they will just ask you to choose the boots model, and then you customise from sizing, soles, construction, leather type/colour, edge trim colour. You can't do in depth customise like number/type/colour of eyelets, no choosing of shoes last/gusseted tongue or not/types of cap toe or not.

But their response speed is just overall superb compared to Txture that there's no fight. Now to see how's the quality of their boots.

Pricing wise, both Junkard and Txture are about the same.

Actually they can do indepth to a certain degree. Just need to give them pictures and pay the additional pattern fee. Well at least thats what he told me when I wanted to have a longwing chukka (but changed my mind later).

Making a 2nd pair for my wife now. With padded collar, will see how it turns out.

Actually Junkard is slightly more expensive than Txture but offer 1 free resole. Considering the shipping cost, not much value unless you happen to ship a few pairs to share shipping.
