I'm curious, how are you going to get the notched balmoral like in Pic A? The pic is a carmina pic if I recall correctly, and I haven't seen any pics of Enzo button boots like in pic A.

I'd be interested if you can get it to look like pic A! loden shaft is ok, but would prefer some kind of dark brown (maybe Betis Ebano or vitello meleze) rather than black leather uppers, in 804 last.

I have wide feet and 804 fits better for me than 946. 946 tapers too sharply and pinches my toes. 804 in the same size is longer and wider.

I haven't actually asked about the notched balmoral part. Didn't occur to me that it might not be do-able. I'll ask about it.

AIAD has a strong preference for black though... I'm ok with brown or black.

Open to diff last but need to try on. I have wide feet!

Bumping the GMTO. Still looking for 1 more participant to make this GMTO a reality!

4. ?????

Btw, I'm having second thoughts about the last. Any comments guys?

Model: Button shoe (not boots)

Design: Plain captoe balmoral style with plain stitching.

Sides will be like pic A below and not the straight across kind and there will not be broguing.

Color: Black calf for bottom, Loden suede for top. There will be a centre line where the lace will be as with all button boots but we will use the same suede material so there will not be a contrast there like what you see in pic B. Pic C is the pairing of the 2 materials to give a better idea of what it would look like.

Sole: Preference for single sole with topy. If anyone has any thoughts, let me know.

Last: Likely the 946. But after trying out the sizes of the respective lasts, I'm having second thoughts on the 946. I think the 804 may be more suitable for this makeup. (Plus the 946 might not be as suitable for me. :s13:

Pic A:

Pic B:

Pic C:

Pic B pretty much sums up the design of the shoe sans the contrasting centre line on the suede part and the seam that runs on the side of the shoe.

Anyone out that that is keen, let me know! :D

I'm planning to run it through Lusso if we get enough people on board.

How about 804 last?

Yep.. would prefer black calf base..

Last wise my concern is more on fit than looks cos all the enzo lasts are fairly elegant and suitable for a pair of button shoes, imho.

Good news is I generally share the same shoe size as TM, so I should be able to determine my fit in various enzo lasts with his kind help, once we hit the 4 pax requirement!

Lmao... Sooo kind of you!
Yeah might just go for it since we got the 50 bucks.

Just tell yourself you'll be wearing them for years, so if you divide the cost by duration it's not actually that much.. Then tell yourself you buy more pairs now, the next purchase will wait longer.. You definitely won't buy more anytime soon.. Definitely..

This must be the most cunning advice I have seen in awhile! :s13::s13::s13:

@supernova, I've checked with Lusso and they said that they've asked a similar question before (ala Vass Old English II style) and there was an upcharge. Any design that Enzo has not done before will have an additional charge but should be possible. They'll let me know by Tuesday next week.

Stay tuned!

Pst....If they are able to do it, can I count you in? :D

and then, we will use the $50 discount to get another pair of EB, right? :s13:

I am sure Lusso will be bringing in many interesting stock models in time to come.
So that $50 off will definitely come in handy.
We should get to work and organise even more GMTOs.

If loden and some kind of dark brown and 804, then yes. If black, let me mull over it. I have a few black shoes and don't really need more, and I feel loden goes better with brown :) I know all-in-a-day prefers black tho.

More time for me to mull over it.. Lol.
Might really consider but the only drawback for me is my sense of dressing on how to wear this slight chunky sexy pair.
Am also considering dropping 50% for the CS patina field boot. Seems pretty value for money.

No prob. I'm wearing w jeans or chinos; was thinking Fridays or overseas walking shoes. My alternative make up was to make it sleeker - 946 last. But I can't fit 946 well and will need G width. Will make it even harder to get the gmto moving.

Agree wholeheartedly about the organising more GMTOs :)

So here is a list of what I intend to do in 2017....
Let me know if any of these interest any of you guys.
All EB, naturally.

1) Ghillie
2) 2 tone sideswept balmoral single monk (already 3 interests)
3) Zip boot
4) "George boot" .... or Enzo's version of a high chukka

5) This model jodhpur in Bolet.
