Re-bump for this GMTO.

Still looking for 1 more participant!

1. Arcfire
2. All in a Day
3. anodize
4. ?????

Model: Button shoe (not boots)

Design: Plain captoe balmoral style with plain stitching.

Sides will be like pic A below and not the straight across kind and there will not be broguing. I've confirmed through Lusso that the notched balmoral pattern can be done and likely without upcharge.

Color: Black calf for bottom, Loden suede for top. There will be a centre line where the lace will be as with all button boots but we will use the same suede material so there will not be a contrast there like what you see in pic B. Pic C is the pairing of the 2 materials to give a better idea of what it would look like. Alternatively, if the participants want to meet at Lusso to take a look at the swatches themselves to discuss, I'm fine with that too.

Sole: Preference for single sole with topy. I might want to ask for a bevelled waist thrown in.

Last:Likely to be 804

Pic B pretty much sums up the design of the shoe sans the contrasting centre line on the suede part and the seam that runs on the side of the shoe.

Anyone out that that is keen, let me know! :D

I'm planning to run it through Lusso if we get enough people on board.

Pre Christmas bump!

For those who already hit your shoes quota for 2016 but are keen, don't be shy to sound out interest. Quota re-setting in about 10 days time!

We'll see if locally there are any GMTOs with textured/exotic leathers :s22:

Nowadays I only go for those :s8:

There is some interest in a kudu (not Pebody) makeup among the local boys. Possibly a split toe derby or chukka make up with EB via Solegarb. Lorenzo said he can set aside enough leather for 5 pairs if I can something together.

Also, the kangaroo balmoral wingtip derby gmto via Lusso is still good to go. 2 other local boys, myself, and one more to go.

First date with this Carmina mto pair and I must say Rain Last for loafer fits almost too snug compared to their Oxford or Derby in the similar last.
Chestnut Museum Calf gets pretty antiqued Tanned looking indoors.

Surprisingly toe area is fine. Even for the pinky.

It's just that this pair seriously wraps around your foot like a glove. Ultimate snug and unable to slot my foot in without a shoe horn. But I reckon it'll stretch out.

Did u size down or take the same size? I do notice that this pair of penny loafers seems to have a relatively "longer" vamp area covering more instep than usual (Definitely "longer" than something on uetam last for example).

Not sure if that plays a part?

I take the same size 8.5uk as per Rain, Uetam and Forest lasts. Uetam isn't suitable for me due to lower instep. I have a bone spur on my instep so Uetam makes it very uncomfortable.
Yeah this pair has a longer vamp. But so far no heel slip and seems okay for instep.
Emailed Betty from Carmina and she states this particular model due to split toe is on the narrow end but should stretch out fine.

I see. See after 5 full day wears how it will fit, my normal benchmark for boots breaking in period.

Yeah.. Couple of wears should make it fit better after the leather stretches.

I'll pass on the derby, design doesn't really appeal to me.

For the Kudu, i already have 1 :s13:
