i am heading to korea & hongkong in the upcoming months. any particular stores to recommend?

I would say try the tailors there, for a reasonably price or slightly more, you can get very good suits/trousers/shirts. Ascott Chang (Ascot Chang) is well known for their shirts. Tailoring houses are WW Chan, Ah Man Hin Cheong are probably one of the to-gos for suits.

There are actually many more local houses which are cheaper and offers CMT services, but one have to really find or know a local to go there.

Just save up and buy C&Js...

Going to London and buy Grenson or Loake is just a big waste. Might as well buy AEs (for 300 bucks) through Amazon.

More importantly, if you want to buy shoes online next time, C&J is always the standard reference point for comparison in fit.

The "different ranges" refer to different lasts, I suppose? You have the opportunity to try on all the lasts in person, so seize it, my man!

I can also suggest that you record the size that fits you best in the other lasts, if you can.

There are way too many C&J owners searching for compatible lasts from other shoemakers online, you really cannot go wrong.

Unless you have irregular feet.

Yup, different last for the classic & handgrade range.
but its not really helpful if for eg i am going to buy a Grenson online next time, if different last fits differently.

Darker shades of brown are the most versatile, more conservative and seem more formal. Lighter shades require more attention to the pants-shoe color matching.

Like cordovan (the color)? If you have got dark brown, don't think it will expand a lot in terms of added color choices. i say go for mid brown!!!

Personally chukkas look best in brown suede with a slightly chunky toebox, so yeah not great for the office.
Although many top-tier labels make a sexy leather chukka that is office-friendly, like the G&G Arran or the C&J Tetbury.

Dark brown is still the safest, unless you are more daring then try to play with brighter colors like Burgundy, Mahagony or honey brown.
