Wah you really power man :D:D

Classic range is a good start, I have one on rubber sole and I love it. Makes more sense because of our weather and also because I was intending to use it as a beater.

Quality aside, I think another key aspect is proper rotation. Having 2-3 pairs (mix leather/sneaker) will allow your shoes to 'rest' and prolong their lives.

When you say you have one pair of the meermins, on the classic collection with the rubber sole, may i know which exact model are you referring to?

Are you referring to purchasing two pairs of the shoes from the classic collection? 2 pairs for $500. Would it be taxed with the usual 7% GST when it reaches SG?

Please advise.

Btw, thinking of ordering a pair of meermins - classic collection, preferably rubber soles. Heard the waiting time is around 4 months now?

You'll be taxed 7% if it's above 400 SGD. It's a hit or miss kind of thing. Sometimes they do, other times they don't. I've been hit a few times, and also managed not to pay the GST on the shoes other times.

The loafers in suede come with 'Dainite soles' which are rubber. Check to see which are the models that feature such soles. The positive side of rubber soles is they seriously are significantly more durable than leather soles. Also, there's more traction with the ground on rainy days.

which are the popular meermin models have you guys bought/ordered, be it from the classic and LM range. I am quite curious to know which are the models which we most of us are eyeing.

Would also appreciate if someone could recommend me a good first black shoe and brown shoe.

Thanks

Regards,
Daniel

I see. The dainite soles looks quite slippery to me imho. Seems to have little traction/friction between the ground. We will see. Most likely ordering my first pair from there, to try out the sizing.

Thanks for the reply BDC.

Read the past few pages that people have been ordering the woodlore shoe trees from Amazon. Any review on the sizing issues yet? I am a uk 8. Contemplating to get a size S, or M.

I think you can order a pair in narrow width from Meermin as part of a MTO. Similarly for a lot of other brands.

Some of Meermin's shoe lasts are slim. Shoes that have a particularly slimmer profile include shoes from here -- Boutique chaussure homme, chaussure homme cuir, vente chaussure homme, vente chaussure homme.

Am using 1 pair.

I don't know how to differentiate between good or bad.

My shoes look fine, they smell fine.

Someone can advise?

anyone know this type of painted shoes how to polish?

I've been through the exact same dilemma when I bought my Berluti in the pictures below.

I was in France four-ish years ago, and I spoke with the lady at Berluti and she told me that I should use wax/cream a shade lighter than the dominant colour. Shouldn't change much. I've a couple pairs and I've polished them without significant colour change.

Berluti makes nice shoes, but the problem is the last is so bloody narrow. Damn it, posting pictures of the shoes makes me feel like wearing them again.
