you need a black and brown pair for starts. black oxford is the classic "serious business shoe" and brown derbys are the "casual yet smart" look. for work a darker shade of brown is more suitable than a lighter shade of brown.

I would think that with charcoal, navy and mid grey, you are done.

you have low instep/low heel?
bata has heel pad, shoe inserts and shoe laces, not sure if they have tongue pad. I prefer to use insert over tongue pad, as tongue pad need to stick it on yr shoe -.-. you can try and use insert or cut the insert down to 3/4(might need to stick it >.<)

Locally 55 sells it. Other than that its mostly online, but that could potentially change soon. Will keep you updated

Didn't know Tangs Vivo didn't sell LLYR. Hunted for some time can't find it and the staff is also unsure. So I didn't get to try and possibly buy during the sale yesterday

Thats actually one of Bestetti's trademark. Correct me if I am wrong but the insole could also have an higher arch to compensate for the seemingly high instep.

bdc usually im a fan of your shoes but the one you commissioned is a monstrosity...

I agree with BDC, to each his own. I think the Bestetti are a relatively good complement to the number of English/Spain/French shoes he has.

What you said ring true to me. Yes, Vass, G&G shoes have those really irresistible sleek look. And yes, I am just starting to build my shoes wardrobe from scratch.

I will probably check out plal for Loake and Cheaney shoes. What types (oxford, blucher) and color of shoes would you recommend? My dress code for my potential working environment will be just shirts and odd trousers.

If your have cash to blow and are looking at a good rotation, I suggest a dark brown/black oxford and a burgundy derby or loafers (assuming you work in an environment that is quite easy on dress codes).

Polish the browns with black waxes and you will be able to obtain a shade that is very subtle and easy for daily office wear.

Not really a booth or anything, we are selling our shoes at the Menswear shoe's section. Only place locally is via 55 Boat Quay, else most of them get it online. Yes you need cream and wax, probabaly you can start with a neutral cream and brown wax (assuming you are buying brown shoes). Obenauf does a splendid work for shoes with thicker hide.
