Working Shoe for Young Exec

Hi there,

Congrats on your latest purchase from Meermin. As I am contemplating to buy from them but still not confident about their sizing despite I have tried Loake 1880 at Heeren and also the replied gotten from Meermin. From your posting there are 2 different sizes for 2 different types of shoes on 2 shoe boxes. Care to share with me how to ascertain these sizes?

I also went down to Robinson heeren to try on the loake. Apparently the width of the loake range there are in F which is medium in UK standard. Tried the loake UK8 which is my usual UK size, but it is a bit big for me. Hence i guess i will need UK7.5 but Loake in robinson only carry in whole number sizing.

As for the meermin, the model that i ordered come with E width which i know i can fit in comfortably cause i have tried the Loake F fitting. of cause, i took the advice of Luisa from meermin as well.

Loake UK9 generally is big because of the F fittings. To be double sure, send the feet measurement template and tell Meermin the actual model of the Loake model you have tried as I understand different lasts will vary for different feet size. Cheers!

Strange, by right when you first enquire, they will send you a template in their email attachment.....

Confirm will have. And confirm damn ex. Departmental stores stock mostly shoe accessories from Ecco and such. In other words, you may be paying for brand when you buy at departmental stores.

Apparently wood gives off a better smell than plastic and holds its shape better. Some clowns say wood absorb moisture; it's up to you to believe them.

Many factors. My own shoes which are well maintained take around 30 mins. My client shoes I take around 1 - 2 hours per pair.

The original color of the loafers is red. I was told to use only neutral polish. After cleaning and polishing the color seems richer.

I using phone camera. Sometimes the photo out of focus or the color seems funny, or doesn't do justice to the shine.

I should really save up for a compact camera.

Well... It's really debatable whether it'll absorb moisture or not. Still, generic cedar shoe trees have nice smell and they're not very expensive so

You did the polishing job? It looks great! I have a pair of the same brown Mountbatten from ed et al as well, and I cannot imagine they can look even nicer in such shine.
