I am no authority this is just my preference.

Reno > Cream > Wax

Reno is used once in a while to remove old polish builtup / as deep nourishing on very dry leather / after washing the shoes

Cream is used either alone for "indoor shoes" or as a base layer before wax polish. Colored cream restore color to leather and nourishes at the same time. Provides a low matt shine which some people prefer.

Wax should never be used alone. Always reno or cream before waxing as it will dry out the leather. Wax protects the leather from water, scratches, hides scuffs and provides the best shine.

I follow this as well.

My cream runs out faster than my wax. Wax seems to have higher mileage or maybe I use too much cream? Usually I apply 2 coat of cream before applying wax.

I like the shiny finish, but can't get the mirror shine no matter how hard I rub.

I reserve mirror shine for special occasions. Quite time consuming and because i take the train to work, its quite common to get shoes tread on n see (in horror) the mirror shine fudge away

Erm its not about rubbing harder, each subsequent layer should be less polish and less strength.

Yes. And it always seems to happen the day after you polished your shoes.

Not too sure for the New Amsterdam series chukkas all I can confirm is they are made in England and good year welted.

edit: look exactly like the sanders "harry" suede chukkas.

Usually the sales item is each size limited quantity one. My shoe size 40 or US 7.5 is so common sure no chance one.

See if anyone interested in round 2 of the shoeshine gathering i book a venue. Dun worry about not having any shoes to shine. Most of the time is poisoning each other session.

Last event i go book big table turn out is 1/3 only. This time I find a smaller place instead. Once I secure a venue I will post the tentative date.
