Uncle like me go for rounder last. Italian style elongated or chiseled not so for me. English style is nice though.

Uncle American longwing

Uncle here too. The longwing from AE too? Looks sleeker though maybe visual effect of the wing.

I have wide feet so even english brands i can only go for wider cuts (typically the "lower" brands) which is just as well given what i can afford haha

Click on link for full review. It is a meermin rui last, no way sleeker...

Ae pa has a short toe cap, making it visually not as elegant as its European counterparts. Still classic though..

What will happen to a shoe if left without good shoe trees?

If shoe is worn on alternative days, how is the shoe tree able to help to air the shoe?

IMO, the shoe trees help more with creases than "airing" the shoes. Although theres no sign of my shoes rotting due to moisture.

I read somewhere, using sandpaper lightly on the trees can rejuvenate them.

The american style round last really not my thing..

IMHO, AE tends to suck at doing round toes. I cannot think of another maker that does uglier round toes.

Some of Alden's round toe lasts are pretty lame as well. So if AE+Alden = all american shoe styles, then I got to agree with you.

Wingtips help to elongate it visually though.

I am contemplating whether to get edetal shenton 2, or loake buckingham in dark brown.

The shenton only comes in antique brown and mustard. I liked the previous version from the 2nd collection.

Go for the better fit. U can try loake size at robinsons orchard. Shenton probably looks slightly sleeker, if thats impt to u.

hi, anyone has experience with Septième Largeur?

please share, thanks!

Physical store at pickering street. Go try it out.

Consider going for the patina for something unique. Price diff isnt v much more.. Of course though its much cheaper in europe...

Spanish round toes are my fav. Carmina or Meermin anytime for me.

I think the regulars here are mainly put off by the price premium here vs in europe. There are better quality and value options for that amount that can be gotten off the internet.

That said, if the shoes fit u well (which u have the chance to try out here 1st and not take a gamble) and the design and particular patina scheme appeals to u, do go for it! :)

Anyone with inputs on the Shoe Snob shoe range?
J.FitzPatrick Footwear Currently free shipping till Apr 30.

The shoes look interesting and well-cut at a decent price. Nut what looks like fairly narrow lasts is holding me back...

The website states that his shoes are in medium E fit, I suspect similar to C&J, which unfortunately I do not have experience with.

Anyone has experience with C&J E fit vs F fits on say, Churches / Loakes /Barkers/Alfred Sargents or even Edetal fits and able to comment?

Thanks!
