Carmina is definitely in my pipeline...cordovan shell... but next year. My wife noticed the unusual expansion of my shoe wardrobe and is limiting my quota per year... Hehe

i owned a pair. leather colour was more towards dark brown. Decent quality, nothing to rave about. Might run a little sleek if your feet is wide.

What is your definition of re-soling? If it is about slapping a layer of topy/vibram, then most cobblers are capable of doing that. If it is replacement of the entire leather sole, I think that involves unstitching, removing the existing sole, replace a new sole and re-stitch, and not many cobblers (in Singapore at least) do that.

If you are looking to re-sole the latter approach, IMHO will be best to send back to the manufacturer or a proven cobbler to get the work done. The difference in the 2 're-soling' mentioned above is like applying plaster vs doing surgery. u can simply remove a badly applied plaster but a botched surgery may effectively end the life of your shoes.

And I believe there are different methods but will leave to the folks who have better knowledge to comment.

What option do people usually use when their soles wear out?

As for Meermin, i think his biggest flaw is that he charges WAY too high for shipping. IIRC its 35 euros outside of Europe? That is very unrealistic, either he is getting ripped off by the postal service big time or he is trying to make money out of shipping. It costs 20 pounds from Herring for comparison.

Edetal offer a $180 shoe, however, i feel its abit tight as a whole-
Rad Russel offer a $180 shoe, but i don't feel the value-

just to share info with the people here, I managed to resole my shoe at arcade for 19 dollar, i was quite pleased with the service. He helped me to resole even when he was about to close shop . But i was quite shock that he sort of like "staple" the heel after the gluing process. Any bro with resoling experience care to share whether their shoe heel were also stapled when they resoled?

I'd say that depends on what you value more:

Looks?
Comfort?
Price?

Buy what you like and what you will actually wear. If you value comfort more, and the shoe is not comfortable, you will not wear it.
If you like the look at all costs, even if it hurts you will wear then by all means go ahead.

At the end of the day its what you are willing to trade off on.
If you can't compromise, look for other choices.

Personally, Rad Russel is not worth 180 to me. Rad Russel belongs to the Pedro, Bata price range. If you are comparing ED to Rad Russel at the same price mark, I would absolutely go for ED, but that is only if the shoe fits. To me, no point breaking your feet just to look good. There are always better alternatives around.

You like crocodile, then get it. Personally, if I had to get a budget shoe, I would too. But I thought Croc is usually cheaper on sale, especially during gss.
