Long time never buy shoes, so here comes my first GSS shoe hoot.

Bought a pair of Geox Carnaby

to go with formal pants

and a pair of Timberland Stormbuck Plain Toe Oxford with GoreTex

to match with earth colour kakis & chinos.

how's the reliability of pediwear's delivery?

are they using royalmail or dhl? royalmail lately not very reliable, one of my packages got directed to the USA -_-.

The geox is a blucher, due to its open lacing. Oxfords have a closed lacing.

It all boils down to personal preference anyway

From most formal to least formal.

Oxford/Balmoral: closed lacing, the 2 flaps open up in a V-shape as they are stitched together at the bottom

Derby/Blucher: open lacing, the 2 flaps can open fully and you can probably see the entire tongue

Brogues: could be either open or closed lacing, but mainly it's about the decorative holes on it.

The only well made Florsheim shoes are the vintage ones made during the 1940s-1960s.

Quality has been compromised so badly. New old stock(Anything earlier than 1990s is pretty decent) Florsheims are a bargain though.

Just a note for those interested in purchasing. Only one Promo Code works at a time so if you are using the HSAB for the shoe trees, u cannot use the one for the 10% discount. And vice versa.
