I admit I have neither.
But from what I read online, Loake doesn't wear too well over time. At least EEA has the benefit of the doubt since it's new.
For Ed Et Al, you get to try it out first. And apparently they use full-grain leather. Does 1880 use full-grain or corrected grain? Anyone care to comment?
The 1880 line should be using full-grain leather.
I have a pair of Hiltons and its getting on decently well about a year into usage.
