Not bad, you take reservist seriously. I just get what I find in the eMart.

Then again, I wonder how well leather can hold up in waterlogged terrain.

Actually very well if you care for them properly.

My pair of Gortex actually held up for 2 years throughout my tenure in active service.

It was only when I went for reservist that the open mouth syndrome occurred after 3-4 years. If you don't wear them, they tend to degrade faster.

i think the latest range of Bata Ambassador are rubber soled, that's why cheaper.

i remember in 2005 or 2006 i bought a pair of BAs which were goodyear welted, cost me $179 at that time.

Just checked it out at Bata, the Ambassador range are leather sole. So for the price of $99 and $79 on discount is good value for an all leather shoes.

I wear a 8E in AE's 5 last. Length is a little too short, width can be a little more snug. Anyone able to advise sizing on meermin hiro last?

Yeah she told me 7.5 leh

I think AE's 5 last itself is already half size bigger than the other lasts. I measured a 8.5E using the AE's interactive size guide and decided to down half size for that pair.

I size up cos I wanted to wear thick socks with my AE, end up strangely 9.5D fits me just right with thin socks :s22:

PM me if you wanna try my Meermin UK7.5. Novena MRT near my work place or my place near Yio Chu Kang

Please don't buy those leather shoes with hard heels. Your boss can hear you from miles away. :s13: You need to be of certain level of seniority to wear those shoes with hard heels. Your subordinates can hear you from miles away. :s13:

Just bought a pair of AE from the clearance sale. Wanted another design but didn't have my size and width so settled for something else. My first AE, and I believe my first proper shoes. The one I have now is so disastrous I gave up saving it lol...

So while I wait for my AE to arrive, I am looking to buy a shoe tree for this pair. I also bought a polish for my shoes from AE. What else do I need to buy to maintain the shoes?

PMed you, I have got brand new Woodlore Epic Twin Tube Shoe Cedar Tree, Medium (9.5E-10.5E) which might interest you.

Did you buy AE premium creame polish? You might want to consider getting some leather conditioner like Saphir Renovator which Gentleblade is organising a MO on.

I bought the shoe polish from AE, is that the one you are talking about?

I didn't use AE shipping service to SG since it would have cost like 50 usd. Will use vpost instead, should be cheaper to begin with and I got discount code too.
