yeah the woodlore adjustable is more accurate but the epic is much better looking plus it has a full heel support?

I am very interested in getting a meermin double monk shoe.

I am a US 10 D width according to the AE size guide, which translates to a UK size 9 on meermins. Anyone has any experience if this is accurate?

Wouldn't want to waste money on shipping back if it doesn't fit...

Lexyy, since on AE 5 last you are wearing US8 comparing with archangle13 wearing US9 on the same last, I can confirm Meermin 7.5 is too big for you.

Cos archangle13 has tried my Meermin 7.5 and find that it fits just right.

Got night lessons after work so difficult to arrange for meetup haha.I'm set on getting size UK7. Just waiting for her corresponding answer to my new set of measurements before i pull the trigger.Thank you guys so much!

Read over 40 pages but still can't find a location to find shoes in singapore other than bata and the hated Pedro Lol. Any place to recommend for starters? Budget around 150 and below. It seems online is more worthwhile but I need a first pair to know the fit...thanks in advance!

Bata Ambassador for $80-100?

You can test Loake fit at Robinson's, alternatively, you can go to Isetan to get your feet sized via Brannock Device.

That is because nothing much to buy in Singapore. Most people here (as in this thread) order their shoes online.

However do check the lovely locally designed shoes from Ed Et AL and Atelier Llyr.

Congrats for making it through 40 pages. I salute your voracious interest in .... shoes.

There's still 190 pages left to go ;P

:o why do i see bdc pictures in About – ATELIER LLYR

I do like the monks, but would prefer if it had that pattern (not sure what it's called) across the front like in Constantaine

Boyboy was consulted on shoe design because he is known to be very a**l.

If Boyboy stamp chop on the design, means should be ok for release to market, if not send all the shoes to the landfill and come up with a better design.

1) I didn't design the shoes/chope stamp on the design of the shoes.

1a) I only had an opinion in the technical development at the outset.

1b) I don't really like shoes that are too funky in colour. IMHO, it's not versatile for work. I want shoes that I can take from work to play, and shoes that are too funky minimise my ability to that.

2) I'm not affiliated with them in any way, and haven't spoken to the people involved for a long time.

3) I assisted them in ONE photo-shoot where I wasn't paid. That's why you saw some of my photos.

If you ask me as to which specific brand I think offers good value for money and is affordable, honestly, I'd say Meermin.

4) Most of my entry-level shoes are from Meermin because they're much more affordable, good quality for the price, and they have 1/2 sizes.

Meermins shoes are BELOW 300 SGD, shipped! They're finished in Spain, and are a Spanish brand.

They're obtainable here -- http://meermin.es/catalogo.php?id=1

Was considering to get this, went to Tangs Orchard to see if I like the shade of navy blue but does not have this on display.

I saw it. The 'blue' is so dark it looks like black, you might have been mistaken that it wasn't available. Photoshop and well-taken pictures work wonders. I don't think the shoes look quite like that IRL.
